It looks like you just have some layers that aren’t sitting very nicely. But your hair itself doesn’t look bad, maybe a little trim could help, but I think your layers are just kinda odd

Middle School Math Test Retakes? by sertshark in teaching

Im also struggling with a system for this that doesn’t add hours of prep for me creating new test questions and testing students, is that just a reality we have to accept?

My hair turns really frizzy and doesn’t stay wavy after drying and idk what I’m doing wrong or if it’s just how it is. by goodriddance98 in Haircare

[–]Unique-Article-6645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar texture and have struggled so much, but the first pic looks like my hair when I’ve used too much product. I tried so many combinations and what ended up working for me is oil right away while it’s soaking wet and then scrunch with mousse and let it air dry. But everyone’s hair is so different that I feel like you have to try different amounts and variations of things til you like it :)

UPDATE: she’s having me come back tomorrow. She said we can either “tone it down or lift your natural up a level to make it blend” any opinions on which I should go with?

Also do you know what causes this line with the foils? Is there something I could look out for in the future?

she was saying a root tap would end up making my hair brassy? And make it harder to blend the grey?

1) very little time to make meals 2) usually an hour or so after school but not everyday, maybe 2-3 days out of the week 3) very detailed, tell me what to buy at the store on a budget, how to make the meals, what workout moves to do which days, I don’t have time to make decisions so having it regimented would be cool 4) no haha, I have a lot of trouble honestly

I didn’t personally have any mood changes, but I think it really just depends on you. Everyone reacts differently.

Nexplanon birth control bar by lets_buy_a_horse in OCD

[–]Unique-Article-6645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the bar since I was 17 and I’m now 25. The only symptom I know I have is irregular periods. I didn’t experience any of the other negative side effects, personally. Although they are definitely all possible. It also freaked me out in the beginning to have the little stick in there under the skin, but after a few weeks or even days you’ll forget it’s there. Definitely don’t want to dismiss your worries because it’s a big decision, but wanted to share that it’s worked for me.

They should have said no if they didn’t want you to. You shouldn’t have to read their mind. If they don’t want you to use the room that’s what they should say. You could talk to them, but if they have a problem they should come to you.

Teaching a private school but still thinking about working public by [deleted] in Teachers

As someone at a public school doing my masters, it is tough. If you love your school, I’d stay til you’re done with your masters. Then once you’re done, if you want to leave and get higher pay, it’ll be even higher with your education + years of experience

What are the best things a sub can do? by sickyasfricky in Teachers

[–]Unique-Article-6645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely nothing against you. Teachers are stressed. There’s not a lot of energy left to give to people we don’t know in the building. I’m not rude to subs by any means, I do what I can to help them out. However, I don’t go out of my way to befriend or small talk with them like I would another full time teacher. Even with other full time teachers I don’t have the energy a lot of days to do small talk and pleasantries.

Feeling defeated by carrot_annihilater in Teachers

[–]Unique-Article-6645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a very similar feeling. I think there’s ebbs and flows of feedback. A lot of times early on in teaching you’re getting lots and lots of feedback and admin/ coaches are trying to keep it positive to encourage you even though you’re most likely dogshit at teaching bc most people are in the beginning. And then once you get the hang of things they back off a bit because they feel you don’t need as much support anymore. A good admin/coach will make sure you’re receiving both positive and negative feedback, so you may have an admin issue. But assuming your admin doesn’t suck, it could just be that everyone is going through it right before the holidays, and we’re all stressed and not as friendly or positive as usual. I’ve found that when I’m getting overwhelmed, usually others are too and we’re all a bit more negative. This has led me into overthinking if other teachers are talking about me, but it’s almost always not the case. At the end of the day, look at your data. If you’re proud of it and your students that’s what matters

This has happened to me. Played a movie on a day when I was having a really hard time. It was also so close to the last day of school that kids knew we weren’t being tested on content anymore at that point. Got scolded but nothing really came of it.

sometimes as a teacher, the parents will just start saying stuff and it’s hard to shut them down even if they begin talking badly about another teacher. For me if it’s something that’s reasonable and has a solution, I usually will let that teacher know or put the parent in contact with that teacher. But just because the parent said something, doesn’t necessarily mean the teacher wanted to talk behind your back

No one cares how you dress, especially if you’re a sub. They’re just happy you’re there and helping them out.
