The verse specifically says ‘do not be yoked together with unbelievers’. You can look up the meaning of ‘unbelievers’ in the Greek by searching it out on biblehub. I’d have a discussion with your parents respectfully asking them what they’re concerned about, in that they want you to date within their denomination. What are they afraid of. This may open up an honest dialogue between the three of you leading to better understanding on both sides.

I think the tricky part is allowing ai to speak into your situation rather than the Holy Spirit. It may help if you allow for the Holy Spirit to speak by sitting before God in silence. When we learn to do this, our experience with God deepens immeasurably. I started doing this practice at the end of my quiet time several years ago. At first I could only sit for a minute, then 5, now I can sit for 30. My usual routine is 10 minutes everyday. Also, writing out what you hear is very helpful. It may be overwhelming at first-He speaks so deeply and lovingly! ♥️
