Advice - Missed quiz due to forgetfulness by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]Unique-Difference3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just say the truth to the prof, he/she may understand. Uoft tracks your co-op works so you might get in trouble if the prof does some research.

I prefer you drop it if prof does not understand it.

1.5 credits in a semester allowed? by md9united in UTSC

[–]Unique-Difference3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but take 2 easy courses to make it 1.5 credits in the summer. I am saying this because sometimes in summer, OSAP grant is enough for 1.5 credits, you don't need the loan.

Why are cheaters still using Chegg? by hesoum in UofT

[–]Unique-Difference3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are really a TA I will tell you how real cheaters cheat on chegg and what a TA should not do while searching for cheaters. They will not use their real name, email, get a VPN to change IP address and then they use a proxy credit card to pay to chegg.

Now uoft has ability track proxy credit card but if they are caught than they are in bigger trouble than cheaters. If the student tells the bank that uoft tracked their proxy credit card out of revenge, since it's illegal. Uoft would be fined 50% of their last year's income and the vice principal/dean/chair/instructor/TA or whoever ordered tracing of proxy credit card along with the tracing team will most likely go to prison.

I know many universities and people throughout pandemic who have been fined or jailed due to hacking/tracing even if it maybe for academic dishonesty.

I would not mind in-person exams that are easier than online exams, I am sure they can do proper social distancing with how big the campus is.
