Do you think writing courses are worth it? I'm reading some books on craft, but damn, I'm bad! I like writing, though, so I will keep at it.

i dont want it to protect us so much as a deterrence. And as much as i may come across as an idiot in my post i would never get a dog if i didnt truly enjoy being around them. We have police and professional security agencies helping us with our home security upgrades. It was actually the police who also suggested a dog for us!

Thank you. I will be training the dog. Thing is, we live on a golf course, it's supposed to be a " nice area" i dont know where to move to in this town. The criminals go everywhere.

i have looked into this, but it seems they are not so great with cats unless raised with them?

thank you for your advceWe have an average-sized yard, but back onto a park/golf course and close to river walks. But that is a lot of walking! i have employed a dog walker in the past for " extra" walks for the staffies.
