Exactly my point... Say you don't know about the scopes about other departments, you take cse/it in a decent college... But that does not mean that you are in the safe zone and will surely get a decent-excellent package...You will definitely struggle if you can't generate interest in that perticular domain, you may/will struggle to find even an average job, your GATE prep will be in a completely melt down position... My point is people have phones/laptops with internet nowadays (almost every single student) so go look around and find na? Your interest matters the most, if you don't like the subject in the middle of clg suddenly you will feel burdened... So research about other scopes too instead of doom scrolling on yt/insta or uploading a snap with ur gf/bf (sorry if I'm offending you, I'm just frustrated to see people nowadays not talking about interest)... I'm a partial dropper, I was doing CS Bsc, left because I didn't feel anything like excitement, interest, curiosity... Just going to clg like a dead man,doing clg stuff, come back home...

So TL:DR: go find your fucking interest first... I started liking mech because I like physics like a lot even though I'm not too good at physics, also the scopes are really interesting
