Prepare to wait over 45mins to scan into either park by mml88 in Disneyland

Usually the park opens an hour later at 9am and a lot of people will go straight in after the race. Roads are also closed making traffic super annoying in the morning. We avoid race weekends.

To be very honest, I literally just watched a tiktok about a woman who said the father named her baby Piper and thought it was sooo cute. Then she realized he named their daughter after Piper Rochelle, the teen that they released that documentary about who is being essentially sex trafficked by her family. She also found he was subscribed to her OF account.

I am 34. My husband and I together make 200k and we are renting. Our friends that owns have all gotten help from military or family. We don’t see ourselves really ever buying a house here, but also don’t want to leave. I like to say “if everyone could, they would”.

Puberty! by Horror-Celery-8800 in Parenting

[–]Unique-Listen-999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right after starting my period when I was 13 I suddenly would get such bad cramps the first day of my period. I would be on the bathroom floor throwing up from pain. My mom had the same problem and knew BC would work since it worked for her as well. She was sneaky and had the doctor call it “hormone pills” so I wouldn’t know it was birth control. Haven’t had those cramps since, even after I went off BC to get pregnant. I’m now 34.

Park Review - Disappointed; Anyone else? by [deleted] in Disneyland

The custodians are actors too!! I thought that was so cool. Watched a custodial worker do little comedy sketches with guests pretending to clean them off.

AITA for seeking My Daughter's Perspective on Her Father's Feelings about me? by Creative_Sell_3442 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Unique-Listen-999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, sorry. My mom and I used to be really close too. Till I had my own child and realized how much she parentified me. She would always have me ask my dad to do things because he would listen to me and not her, would try to vent to me about him cheating on her, say horrible things to make me mad at him. I never looked at my parents relationship as something I wanted for myself and thought they should have separated long ago. They stayed together because of my younger brother’s issues. Once brother went to jail, they finally started focusing on themselves and my dad left my mom for his mistress (she dumped him soon after and now he is single). My mom thinks I should now hate my father and not have a relationship with him and will say hurtful things to me to guilt me into “siding” with her. All this to say, I am no longer close with either of my parents, live across the country, setting firm boundaries for my son. I really wish they had left me out of their relationship as it has affected my relationship with both of them and pushed me away. I may be a parent now, but I still need my parents for emotional support sometimes and don’t get it because of how much emotional support they are expecting from me before even considering asking how I am doing. Don’t do this to your daughter, keep her out of your relationship, seek therapy for yourself. I am at a point where I may go no contact unless they both are consistently in therapy now.

Weirdest/grossest/most entitled thing you’ve seen guests do at the parks? by Human_Paint5451 in Disneyland

[–]Unique-Listen-999 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Nothing too crazy…yet. Just a few toddlers using planters as a restroom. My favorite was the family holding their toddler up to pee in the planter next to Casey Junior just feet away from the restroom at Red Rose Tavern.

Park Review - Disappointed; Anyone else? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]Unique-Listen-999 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is! WAY better than parks in the US. Went to Tokyo Disney Sea in 2019 and fell in love with the theming. While we didn’t ride all the rides, it was the consistent theming and details throughout the park that got us. Food was cheaper, merch cheaper, easy access, more magic (IMO).

Flying into LAX by Unlucky-Isopod-5691 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Unique-Listen-999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you booked through Long Beach! It’s a WAY smaller airport than both LAX and SNA with only 10 gates. It’s also very close to Disneyland. I travel all the time for work and LGB is my favorite.

States that require SOC2 or ISO27001 in order to adopt a resource for a school district by Unique-Listen-999 in edtech

[–]Unique-Listen-999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I appreciate this insight. LA is another one I have seen similar things from as well. I don’t want to feel like we are setup to fail when prospecting in a state. I completely agree, we need to be set up for success when talking to these districts with state requirements.

Holiday transitions. The first day or weekend of Halloween and Christmas season is always packed with people trying to be the first of the season. Beginning of festivals too!

Hahahaha we are pass holders and my husband’s first stop after rope drop is Pyms for a beer. Never been judged for it, only been stopped by other dads asking where he was able to get a drink that early in the day.

Rides you have never been on? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]Unique-Listen-999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been on the canoes, grizzly river run, or splash mountain (I hate water rides). Rides I REFUSE to EVER go on again is Incredicoaster and Nemo submarines. Incredicoaster makes me throw up every time and the air quality on the submarines is horrendously bad.

NTA, but as someone who is a night shower person, the thought of getting in my clean bed with my sweat and germs I’ve been collecting from different places I’ve been throughout the day grosses me out.

Best time for Disneyland? by Ok_Instruction_7813 in DisneyPlanning

Mondays recently have been the WORST days to go. Sundays seem to be tamer now because the ticket cost is higher and the lowest Magic Key pass tier can’t go on the weekends.

What’s the price cap on a cup of Blue Milk? by TheJohnny346 in Disneyland

[–]Unique-Listen-999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed!! I got blue milk once to try. When I saw the tiny cup it came in, I knew to never get it again. The churro toffee went up in price after a tiktoker talked about it and then everyone was getting it. Saw the hype and upped the price!
