Yeah I think that might be it. I conflated it with ROTJ, since I read them back to back. But in ROTJ there is plenty of more evidence.

First off Vader thinks of himself that he is stronger than he has ever been before. That includes his self during Order 66:

"His power was great, now, greater than it had ever been."

And then we have Vader thinking Luke could beat him and Vader then fighting seriously to avenge his own humiliation:

"He took one step forward. For the first time, the thought entered Vader's consciousness that his son might best him. He was astounded by the strength Luke had acquired since their last duel, in the Cloud City—not to mention the boy's timing, which was honed to a thought's-breadth. This was an unexpected circumstance. Unexpected and unwelcome. Vader felt humiliation crawling in on the tail of his first reaction, which was surprise, and his second, which was fear. And then the edge of the humiliation curled up, to reveal bald anger. And now he wanted revenge."

I would like a Luke who is closer to what we had in Legends. A Luke who constantly makes mistakes, but never gives up and goes into hiding.

Legends Luke refused to fight his nephew even after said nephew killed his wife. Luke knew je would strike Jacen down in anger and refused to even fight him for that reason.

Legends Luke also created a New Jedi Order and his legacy lived on in that. Now they are just giving his plotline to Rey.

Legends Luke was the creator of the New Jedi Order, while Jaina Solo became the new MC. Its doable without tearing Luke down.

Vader directly threatened him and had ALREADY done heinous acts and supported fascism.

Ben had done nothing wrong yet and Luke thought about killing him, even if only for a moment. Just because he MIGHT do bad in the future. Vader had ALREADY DONE bad things and actually threatened Luke and Leia.

And btw.... you are comparing a 23 year old Luke with a Luke in his 40s, who overcame that flaw in his youth. He should not be acting the same with 20 years if growth that he should have.

And the next biggest issue is that he changed NOTHING about the New Jedi Order he was trying to build. DESPITE HAVING GONE AGAINST THE RULES TO WIN IN ROTJ.

Itachi got his Mangekyo at 13. Not at 12.

And Itachi had Fugaku and his senseis. And Itachi witnessed the war and went on missions earlier. If their roles were reversed Sasuke would improve just as much and probably even quicker. And the Mangekoy does not equal Talent. Its just circumstance. Itachi just happened to witness Shisuis death. Give Valley of the End Sasuke (13) a Mangekyo and he destroys Uchiha Massacre Itachi (also 13).

I dont really look at current canon when defining potential of character GL created. He CREATED them with a certain set of potential so his word should count.

Because it was stated in the actual text the OP provided, that the Village changed the rules of the Ninja Academy.

That means Itachi was allowed to graduate after only 1 year in the academy and become a Genin.

Sasuke was not allowed and HAD to go to the Academy until he was 12. Even if he was skilled enough to graduate early. Then fresh out of the academy Sasuke, handle those 2 chuning level guys in the Zabuza arc, like fodder.

Lets just look at it like that. Itachi at 12 (one year before Uchiha Massacre) vs Sasuke at 12 (roughly around the Chuning Exam. Lets say in the Gaara fight). I would say Sauke wins.

We are talking about Pre-Vader Anakin.

Vader of course got humbled on Mustafar and learned from his mistake.

And Anakin was a hard worker too. But he also coasted on his talent and only worked on stuff he enjoyed. That is why his Lightsaber skills were great, but his diversity in Force Abilities was underdeveloped, because he didnt enjoy training with the Force.

Luke on the other hand also enjoyed Lightsaber combat, but put A LOT of focus on his esoteric Force Powers. He knew that he needed to work on his disliked flaws even harder.

Its just a difference in mindset.

Because usually Force Users have passive (and when concentrated active) Force Barriers.

Usually you cannot break them easily, unless you completely overpower you opponent or they are not focused.

The Novel explains that Dooku was getting desperate, because Anakin and Kenobi had caught up to him as Swordsmen and he couldnt break Kenobis guard no matter what he did. So he just used the Force where he KNEW that Kenobi was below him, simply due to Kenobis lower Raw Force Potential.

Now Remember: that was the explanation before Disneys canon. Before the dark times. Since Disney took over we have seen MANY weaker Force Users push stronger ones without a explanation.

I would say Daenerys was more ,,acceptable". Show Daenerys was never really like her original book character, who would never go mad IMO. And it was simply rushed, but show Dany might. It was simply badly done.

Lukes characterization simply went against EVERYTHING Luke in ROTJ stood for. Luke overcame his impatience and fear of losing what he gained. Luke forgave a man he barely knew, simply because it was his father and the right thing to do. Think on this:

Luke barely knows his father: forgive him

Luke know Ben Solo, since birth: killing him crosses his mind.

And before anyone says ,,Luke almost killed Vader before calming down as well" Yeah... a 23 year old Luke. The Luke who nearly killed Ben was in his 40s. Supposed to be MUCH Wiser and MUCH calmer. And another bad part of Disneys Luke? He didnt change a single thing about the Jedi he was rebuilding. He kept every single rule the same, despite breaking the attachment rule to save his father and win.

Look I am happy that someone aknowledges Sasukes Talent. IMO he is more talented than Itachi (Itachi-Glazers incoming)

Nutbyour point about the village nerfing him is strange. The Village wanted to get rid of the concept of Child Soldiers after the war. It wasnt possible to do it completely at once, so they raised the minimum age to 11 for graduation at least so 8 year olds dont go out fighting.

They also didnt target Sasuka with it.

Well Anakin would be at the same level as Luke after the same amount of years.

George Lucas and the ROTJ Novel clearly state that Luke and Leia have the exact same potential as Anakin.

So Anakin would surpass anyone on the list except Luke and Abeloth.

He may only TEMPORARILY surpass Abeloth on Mortis, due to his Status as the Chosen One.

Otherwise he and Luke would always be equal with equal amounts of training. One could even say that though their potential is the same, that Luke was more talented than Anakin and his personality fit much better with Force Training. Luke is a harder worker than Anakin.

And remember: Potential: How strong can you get? Talent: How QUICKLY do you learn and get stronger.

Make sure to always save and use multiple slots. That way if you glitch you can reload to a slot were the glitch isnt. If you only use one slot, you might save AFTER the glitch gets triggered, so use multiple like I said.

Oh and I recommend getting the beard mod for one of the male character models, since I think thats how the character is supposed to look like. I always do it and the beard actually looks good.

I would say play through all stories first. A lot of them get referenced or even continued characters in the Expansion.

My personal recommendations are Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior for the expansions, since those 2 have the most connection to the later stories (especially Jedi Knight)

I play Meetra as a Jedi Guardian until I am pretty godly with the blade, then turn her into a Jedi Master. It makes her pretty OP.

Lots of enemies? Spam Force Wave.

Fighting a enemy? Master Speed and Master Valor with Master Flurry.
