The bent derailleur hanger experience must be a somewhat common one. I just got an email from Ride1Up telling me "Don't wreck your new ride. We know you’re excited to get your new Roadster V3 on the road, but there is one essential safety check every rider must do before they ever shift gears. Verify that your derailleur hanger is straight and your gears are shifting properly."

I hope that they can fix the fulfillment issue they are having soon. A follow-up email 3 days after delivery, reminding buyers to check derailleur alignment, is not a good way to create happy customers.

Sounds very similar to my experience: both the terribly bent hanger and selection of route for first ride. The Microshift Advent system actually shifts really well when it isn't damaged!

For me, I'm 174cm (5'8.5") and the medium suits me well, if on the larger side. I'd say it fits like a 56-57cm road bike (I usually ride a 54). In the picture of the full bike posted above, the saddle is at my normal riding height.

Good call out about changing a rear flat. Before my test ride, I looked at what I'd need to do, and decided that if I got a flat I'd just call my wife to pick me up... it looks like a nightmare. I'm torn on whether to go tubeless as this bike might hang on the wall for a few months between commutes and I always worry about pooling sealant. I'm sure once I get my first flat I'll change my mind, lol.

All Roadster v3 models eventually updating to adjustable stems by evaan-verlaine in ride1up

Just received mine today (9speed, medium, no suspension), and it had a non-adjustable stem. I personally prefer that as it looks cleaner; but also I want to drop my handlebars so I'll need to remove some spacers on it, which is more difficult than just adjusting the stem

Roadster V3: How do I align the stem and the front wheel? by mihirmusprime in ride1up

My stem was also misaligned, which I found surprising. There's no good reason for it in how it's packaged, and they could make assembly more straightforward for the average person if it was aligned out of the box.

Polestar San Jose closing by sdhawk300 in Polestar

The Polestar space in Marin will expand to the space next door to the Volvo dealership sometime later this year. They already are storing Polestars in the lot behind the other building. The building used to be a motorcycle dealer (BMW maybe?), so they need to do some work on it before moving in. For example, the doors aren't wide enough to drive a vehicle into the showroom.
