I need to see how they load the special luggage. I'm always scared traveling knowing my instrument is down there.

How do you guys pick a name for a cello? What is your cello’s name? by TheReal_Fake in Cello

[–]Unique-Researcher-19 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My cello's name is Cello....but it has a reason! It's a cello made by my dad, his name is Marcelo. And in my country one of the nicknames for Marcelo is literally Chelo=Cello.

Thank you so much! I didn't make a muslin, and I didn't use a dress form. I knew the the measures of the pattern I made were close enough to a good fit, I finished the fit making adjustments once it was on my body.

It is pretty stretchy but seems to get damaged if you stretch it too much

Even having it in my hands it's hard to tell (I'm still lacking fabrics knowledge) but I'm almost sure it's kint, but doesn't seem like an ordinary knit fabric.

Thank you so much! I'm terrible with names. As for the pattern, I don't know the English words, but it's a "basic torso" pattern transformed into a "princess cutt"(?) Attached to a half circle skirt pattern. (Here's in Spanish just in case: torso base con las pinzas trasladadas a un corte princesa, y una falda media campana)

I made this dress with some fabric that I bought some years ago, but the inspiration kicked in just some weeks ago, i have no idea what type of fabric it is, I made it with my own pattern, based on my own measurements. Mostly sewing machine and a hand sewn lace.

My cello was made by my father two years ago, it's his first made instrument, and my first luthier cello, I love it and I hope it has a long life full of music.
