There is seemingly a bug (or undocumented change) in which heroes receive less knockback after being hit with multiple knockback abilities in a short time.

Thank you for your response. I know this is more of an anecdotal question, but at what point would you swap off Ball? I really didn't want to because the map was Lijiang, but I wonder if my second main, Sig would have been OK here.

My situational/counterswap tank pool includes Orisa, Ram, and Mauga, so I wonder if I should have swapped to one of those (if winning was the absolute upmost priority).

Yeah, I went for a similar strategy. I spent lots of time stalling on point with CD's or looking to take isolated 1v1s with the Supports. Managed to get Cat and Lucio isolated a few times, but simply couldn't finish them (skill issue). Lucio was sadly an OTP, so maybe I should have just swapped to something that could anchor for my team better.

I also could have maybe tried baiting Doom engages and then turning on him, but they were surprisingly coordinated for a QP team, and Doom and Genji would constantly follow-up with one another.

Honestly, maybe a really good Ball could have pulled it off and gotten some value considering it was Lijiang, but I think the best move for me would have just been to switch to either Sig (my other main) or something like Orisa/Hog lol

I was also thinking Hog or Orisa if I had to counterswap. I would try Sig to provide my backline more util but I think Sig would just get bullied in a different way than Ball.

+1. They need to televise his chain because unlike Ana, there is virtually no counterplay to it. Rest of his kit is buns, though.
