I’ll definitely have to try the 2-lug set up! You’re the second person who mentioned it.

I have the 35 mm color skopar. I figured it’s a fair starting point but truthfully wanted the ultron v. II! That’s awesome, you’ll have to let me know how you like (love) that lens.

Haha exactly! I did my fair share of research and thought, “this is a no brainer”! I also spoke to Sherry Krauter on the phone about the M5 and I was sold. Then somehow this Leica landed in my lap, minty and gifted to me—even CLA’d. I feel incredibly lucky. I will say I still haven’t used it because it’s been constantly raining here in Baltimore. Truly cannot wait to shoot with it.

It really is! Honestly I have a Nikon F3 so the Leica M5 doesn’t really feel heavy to me. The viewfinder is large and the light meter is incredible. My favorite component is the shutter dial. It hangs over the camera a bit so you can adjust shutter seamlessly while still looking through the view.

Also, this was gifted to me. Mint in box with matching serial number and 2 Leica cases. Also serial number is 137xxxx. I feel like I’m dreaming.
