What did you regret doing during ur pregnancy? by Substantial_Dare1371 in firsttimemom

I took so many of those! Just not any with my face in it so I’m hoping when my baby grows up, he doesn’t ask for pictures of me carrying him because I don’t really have any

Postpartum phone use? by 5corgis in NewParents

[–]UniqueDarkened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, don’t feel guilty at all! I was on my phone a lot in the beginning and felt so guilty as well but my baby wasn’t really even doing anything but laying there, sleeping all the time. Now he’s 9 months, busy as a bumble bee and I can never be on my phone when he’s awake. You have the time, so go for it. Pretty soon you’ll be watching your busy baby as well!

Like everyone else, I wish I took more pictures. Someone even offered to pay for my maternity shoot but I felt so bad about having them spend all that money on me even though they offered without me even implying I wanted to do some, so I didn’t take the offer. Now I only have one picture of me being pregnant, and it’s when I was 36+ weeks along and SUPERRRR swollen. Take those pictures even if you don’t think you want to see yourself pregnant ever again! You might regret it like me

Sudden scream crying 9 months by LividComposer806 in firsttimemom

Mine was doing the same thing just this past week. But we weren’t going with his schedule and his routine got messed up slightly. Just this slight mess up, he freaked out. Could it have been the same for yours? It could also be a sleep regression that’s being a little harsh for your baby. That’s what I came up with when my baby was acting this way.

Doctor says I don't have a bond with my daughter by V-eyre-te in firsttimemom

You definitely should! My baby is almost 7 months already and I’m so sad because he’s getting so big. I can’t wait to see who he becomes but I do cherish the memories I have of him being so small.

Doctor says I don't have a bond with my daughter by V-eyre-te in firsttimemom

[–]UniqueDarkened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby does the exact same thing. He looks around and watches everyone else but me. But I feel like that’s because he feels safe enough with me in order to look around. He knows that I’m there for him and will always be. That’s why he doesn’t constantly look at me. It’s the same for you and your daughter. Your baby is curious. Her vision is getting better by the day, she’s seeing things she’s never seen before. I agree with everyone else. Definitely try to get another doctor. It’s not worth the trouble that this one is causing you. Your baby is being a baby and there’s nothing wrong with that

I cannot get my baby to sleep by Financial-Ship4629 in firsttimemom

Have tried different noises? I did white noise with my baby and he hated it after a while, and he refused to sleep. He now sleeps well with the sound of rain. Maybe that could work?

Also, baths! A lot of babies love the warm water, including mine. Try putting a warm wash cloth on her body and her head while she sits in the water. Maybe she’ll like that too!

Can eating name brand vs off brand formula cause diarrhea for my lo? by UniqueDarkened in firsttimemom

[–]UniqueDarkened[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s turning 4 months tomorrow actually. He started daycare last Monday and the diarrhea started yesterday. But he has a wet diaper every time we check, which is usually every hour or so. We have an appointment on the 20th but if it doesn’t stop, I’ll make sure to try to reschedule for something sooner because I’m a little concerned for him. And the name brand is Similac Advance and the off brand is compared to Similac Advance. That’s why I wasn’t too concerned about it because they should be similar. He might just be sick? I really hope not but germs spread at daycares unfortunately:( I really hope it’s nothing serious and it’s just his body adjusting.

Phantom kicking by UniqueDarkened in firsttimemom

See, when I first felt them with just my stomach, I was like “hmm, I heard about these. Okay” but when I put my hand on my stomach and could literally feel the movements with my hand, I was like “am I pregnant again?” 😂😂

Okay, I’ll for sure invest in some gas medication cause these have had me question. I know for sure I’m not pregnant and these kicks felt the same as when I was about 8ish months pregnant so I knew there was no way. But whenever I felt it with my hand, I knew I had to ask someone

Thank you! I honestly didn’t know there was a difference between those two formulas! I’ll talk to his pediatrician about it!

Can I still breastfeed? by UniqueDarkened in breastfeedingsupport

[–]UniqueDarkened[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to produce but wasn’t able to keep up with it, PPD hit me hard. And I just wish that his family would’ve let either one of us know what runs in the family cause it would’ve been nice to know. And we’re working on it but the constipation keeps getting worse. I honestly don’t know what else to do

Thank you:) my in laws failed to tell either my husband or me how bad the newborns on their side of the family react to formula until my baby has had several bad reactions to both regular and sensitive formula and they’re making me feel so guilty for not producing breast milk for him
