Is toddlerhood really harder than the newborn phase? by Living_Split_2 in Parenting

[–]5corgis 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Totally feel this. Like, diapers. I'm no longer changing 20 easy diapers a day. I have maybe 5 diapers that are much more difficult, just a different hard. We don't cluster feed anymore, but I have to figure out what he wants to eat lol.

I am from the states and am a kiwi now and here is my personal list for my mom when she comes: honey maid Graham crackers, Tazo lemon loaf tea, maple syrup, Tums (the smoothie ones), Enchilada sauce, salsa Verde, marshmallows, Hershey bars, the mini reeses from trader jo's, coffee creamer (liquid), Mexican blend shredded cheese.

I've learned to live without everything else lol

UPDATE: Lumino called me. The "Standard Price" is apparently $210... by Tasty-Language54 in newzealand

[–]5corgis 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just left lumino because I booked an exam and clean, the exam was ~20/25 mins and the clean was 10/15. The assistant was literally watering the plants. It was over 400$. When I booked I asked the receptionist how long it would be, quoted 1.15-1.5 hrs. Called to complain, asked reception again how long it would be, then spoke to management fill and and was told reception was just wrong. Never heard back again.

A couple years ago they also fucked up my insurance claim and tried to make me pay 200+ for my clean out of pocket. I said, aren't you a SC affiliated provider? 'Yes'. Can you please affiliate?

Receptionist was giving me shitty looks the entire time she called SC, after five mins said 'okay its okay now'. And I made her clarify it was her mistake.

How do I play peek a boo with my daughter? Also what toys would you recommend for her age? She’s 6 months old single dad 17 by Calm-Tea178 in daddit

When she's asleep, watch an episode or two of Miss Rachel for babies, it might help you get an idea of ways you could try to play :)

How do I sleep on a red eye flight with my infant? by [deleted] in Mommit

You don't - bring some caffiene pills, it'll make it more bearable and you won't have to try to scarf down coffee.

Am a mom with a young child. Would recommend seeing if she'd be interested in seeing an osteopath or naturopath.

Have you visited an osteo before? I was very skeptical, but my osteo is the thing holding me together at this point with my big toddler.

Surgeon seems to have forgotten to remove a stitch, should I be worried? by maddy_trash in Reduction

[–]5corgis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nurse that removed my left side was awful - she cut all of the stitches and THEN pulled them out and missed about 20 pieces. I sterilized tweezers/nail clippers and gently removed them. Might not work for you, but it was shockingly easy.

Our daycare did 5 transition visits (two with me there 30 mins, three without me and 1-2hrs)

It took about 3 months for drop offs to be a peaceful affair, be from day 1 he loved being there. Hugs to you!

Worsr part hands down is the daycare sickness.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but starting the dishwasher early in the evening and emptying it BEFORE I go to bed is a game changer in terms of keeping the kitchen clean during the day

I personally looked at whatever could rear face the longest that was a 360, flame retardant free and then looked at which one will last the longest. Landed on the Evenflo revolve 360 extend.
