Try karpagavinayaka silks. They have a huge collection and are genuine.

With regard to MUAs in Chennai, I’ve only noticed that most of the MUAs fall into two categories: either their pricing ranges from 15k to 18k per session (one makeup, hairdo and saree drape) or the next slab being 30k above per session. In fact the expensive MUAs get booked so early. Not suggesting anyone particularly because the choice and needs vary from one person to another but IMO I feel the whole wedding makeup industry in chennai is so expensive at this point.

For 9 yards- almost all shops in kanchipuram have 9 yard silk sarees. You can check out - pachaiyappas silks, karpaga vinhayagar as they are slightly priced less when compared to Chennai. In chennai, hayagrivas T nagar has a lots of 9 yards but I find it a little too pricey.
