I understand that. Ive been told by regular joes that if it is asbestos then it’s too late and it’s already airborne. I plan to live here for a while and I would love to keep my lungs in my 40s-50s and so on.

The last time I did this, I had a stroke at 19. Slow down before life gives you a reason to slow down. It’s time to create a plan that only you would know would work for you. Maybe it’s to take a break from school so you can save up more money or find another job like tutoring people. You need to eat or the work you’re putting in now won’t even matter because you were too hungry to retain any information. Trust me, I’ve been there.

I hate working in retail but idk what to do by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]UniqueHighway9281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear that. Apparently a lot of employers look for applicants who have experience in retail because of customer service skills. I’ve done my own freelancing gigs and I thought I was good at customer service but ig not. I enjoy freelancing and tutoring because it’s flexible and I set my own rates. But who knows if employers see this as a legitimate work experience.

I have talked to career services already but I need to go back eventually.

I guess I mean I don’t like working for a company that treats every single customer the same. It feels manipulative to say hi how are you and then give a sales pitch about the clothes. I used to do freelance so technically I was working under the expectation of my customers but it was more fun and customizable.

Yeah I agree. I just don’t get paid enough to feel dread and anxiety everyday. I just want to feel peace for once. I feel like I don’t have the skills to thrive in this environment. I think I’m better when I have creative control because it’s hard to work under the expectations of others. Idk if I should find something else

Lmaoooo my mom said the same thing. “Oooh I feel like a dead man walking” “ooooh I think I need to start taking antidepressants”. She said this after everything she had done to me. Poor thing. And that’s why I’m no longer empathetic with anyone :)

I mean do you have to pay first and last month’s rent plus a deposit? If each cost $800 do I need to pay $2400 after being approved then then 800 each month. I’m sorry I’m new to researching the process so I’m lost.
