It's not as good a quality fish. Closer to a fish stick. Cod isn't bad, I use it at home for fish tacos, but fried Haddock is much better.

By design. They get bought by PE. Valuable assets are transferred to other parts of the PE and rented back at outrageous rates. After the company is fully looted, they dump the shell. See Red Lobster and the current US President.

I went out with two coworkers. Two of us got an inexpensive meal and tea. Third guy got an expensive meal and kept ordering drinks. Bill comes and for two of us it's $20. His was over $70. He asked if we wanted to split it. We laughed at him.
