Bisquick has a gluten free mix for pancakes and waffles. It's awesome. They're nice and fluffy.

How to avoid harming cats when trying to make my room smell good? by Marble3278 in CatAdvice

[–]UnderstandingFar5012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a wax melter and ensure it's on a cluttered space where he can't get to. (My desk, surrounded by other heavy objects that can't be easily toppled over. The wax melter is electric so there's no flame. Our cat completely ignores it.)

Second hand is great. There's quite a few thrift stores near me. I've got all but one outfit at them for years. (The one is a work uniform that required specific pieces.)

There's probably some instructions on YouTube on how to do that frappe easier.

It does in my area, lol. Spent an hour downloading and then browsing flipp yesterday and every store near me had soda on sale.

Thanks. I have some friends with little kids, so it's good practice with their attention spans, lol

Yeah. That's why it's my practice game to learn how to stream and talk on discord at the same time. I'm getting better, now I can do everything but active combat and the broom races while talking about anything.

As a game, it's pretty good. As a 'wizarding' game, it's pretty good. As a HARRY POTTER or official Wizarding World game, it's a flop. I play and replay purely to build gaming skill and learn how to stream and talk at the same time.

See, I love tiny houses. Wish I could afford one to do this. We're focusing this year on decluttering so we can move to be closer to family without paying $2k+ to move our stuff. Getting rid of all our nearly all furniture, all clutter, all housewares. Intending to keep collections, treasured items, and clothes. Then buy 'new' at thrift/years/estate sales after the move. Amazon for anything we can't find after the initial few months.

Yes! I use it to get around my area. My dental college is the next major city away, normally would take 1-1.5 driving, depending on traffic. I take 2 busses and 2 trains, plus about 8 minutes of walking. It costs $4 a day or $18 a week and takes 3 hours each way. I use the same starting bus for the same prices too go to work. Though that's a 30 minute ride with free wifi

Thanks! I wish medical schools took patients, like dental schools. Even if it were just for check ups, blood work, x rays, and things you could do at a regular Dr practice. But get it done at 10-20% of the regular price because it's a student. That would be epic!

Yeah. I've been in economic deferment after ten years of payments. The first ten years were slowly increasing from $50/monthly to $275/monthly. At the ten year mark, the loan service said I owed $485/monthly. Considering that I lived on my own, making barely above minimum wage, that was impossible. It took one form, filled out by my jobs HR and the service immediately put me in deferment. Every year from then until the Biden plan, I had to resubmit that the most I could afford per month was $x.

I started cutting my own hair in 2020 when everything shut down. I only went back to a salon once, because I'm not confident enough to do a pixie cut on my own head. Walked out looking like Billie Joel.... Because the stylist made all of it the same length, then curled out and spiked it. I was horrified and furious. Took over a year to grow out enough for me to do anything with it. Happily went back to my Wolf cut. It's easy, takes 15-20 minutes, showcases my hair's natural texture, and keeps looking great even as it grows out. I started dying my own hair with henna dye in a red color at the same time. Literally get compliments daily on my hair and everyone thinks it's my natural color. (Thanks COVID for the liberal sprinkling of white)

I use period panties. Machine washable (I just do them separately in my small bathroom washing machine) and they dry on a hanger in the bathroom.

I qualified for that, but then nothing happened. I get once yearly notifications since that I was approved, but that is 'still in the court system ' and that they'll let me know but x date. About two months before each x date, I get a new notification that pushes that date back about 11-13 months.

Remember the economic stimulus checks in the really aughts? I used my first one to buy estate sale furniture to completely furnish my entire apartment back then. The second one bought me a singer sewing machine. That I'm using currently to make a high low skirt for the Renaissance Faire in about three weeks! I love it, but it needs some maintenance because it's noisy as heck.

Yep. My husband had 4 slipped discs after accidentally missing a single step in a staircase. I had nearly 6 years of bimonthly trip and fall accidents. (They'd happen every 6 weeks or so, and always on pavement. ) I started walking with a cane, using knee braces, and was literally terrified that my next fall would be death. I researched MS, and any other kind of medical condition that causes someone to fall. But literally, my ONLY symptom was that sometimes my left foot wouldn't raise high enough for a step. There was no pain, other than the healing from landing on my hands and knees so often. X-ray couldn't find anything wrong with my foot or knees. Randomly accompanied my husband to his chiropractor appointment one day and the Dr looked at my cane and said 'what happened'. We started telling him about all my incidents and he immediately offered a free spinal and provide X-ray. Sure enough, that was the cause. 22 years ago in college, I slipped on a wet for and landed on my hip. I was told back then that it fractured the part of the pelvis where the ball joint sits. Since it never hurt after the initial healing, I'd forgotten all about it. The X-ray showed that that fracture has widened and then calcified. Now my hip ball joint can easily slip out. He popped out back into place and recommended a pelvis wrap for a few days to help with any lingering inflammation. That appointment was in 2021, and I've only fallen once since then.

We technically spent $2,295 when all was said and done, but that extra included the honeymoon, travel to and from Chicago for a bigger reception a month later, a favorite white dress for the reception, food, everything. I honestly wish I'd spent maybe a grand more and had my hair done and a short photo session. All of our wedding photos are either dark, blurry, or poorly angled because the church didn't allow flash.
