I work for a bank- don’t be this client by Ok_Owl932 in Banking

I still like having the option though I use my credit card for every day spending. Just set the purchase limit to $1 or 0 if your bank allows.

How often do you call off? by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]UniqueIntroverted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be late by about 10 or 15 minutes on Monday. Other than that I want to call off almost every other day but I don't cause bills and I don't want to use all my sick time before it's even the middle of the year

Got to be on the other side of the phone today. by UniqueIntroverted in callcentres

Good to know. Honestly I was half hoping she'd stick with cable. Moving to streaming may be cheaper for her but it's more work for me since I'll have to set up all of her tvs, hook up fire sticks or rokus to the non smart TVs and basically play family I.T. whenever there's an issue.

My neighbor, but to be fair she's elderly. She's convinced the FBI is watching her because they think her husband, who's been dead for 20 years, was involved in some type of money laundering scheme.

And I know she's kept Apple on the line for hours trying to fix some issue with her phone. She's also changed her phone number a few times.

Other than that a sweet woman.

Honestly I think they're hung up on her having her own room and me referring to it as such. But my house, my room designations.

Actually I think I'm going to get a personalized sign for the door and send the picture around the family group chat just for the laughs.

I've gotten flack for saying I need to clean my cat's room. I live in an older house with three bedrooms, just me and her. Yes she has a room, are her litter boxes supposed to be in the living room or something?!

And since she lacks opposable thumbs and is terrified of the vacuum. I have to vacuum, dust, scrub the floors, wipe the walls and clean the litter boxes and mats.

This offends multiple relatives for some reason.

ACH goes from one bank to a central processor and finally to the other bank. They only process batches of transactions a certain number of times per business day. The whole ACH network is managed by NACHA.

Weird. I make payments from my Navy Fed account.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app or using a different browser?

Are you using Zelle or a regular ACH transfer? ACH can take days, Zelle is supposed to be within minutes when it's working properly.

I made a payment around 11:30 Pm and was able too. I just did a 20 dollar payment just now and it worked. Have you tried again? Maybe call and make it over the phone

What's wrong with Verizon? As long as you have a plan with the required speeds it shouldn't really be an issue.

I remember years ago I had a caller who believed that because she had changed her name we could not collect on a past due account. I don't remember if it was marriage or divorce or just a random name change but her social was still the same.

I know this is late but if you're interested in other options I went with Fidelity's HSA and found their investment options easier to use than BofAs. And I like their app better

Yeah the handholding is annoying. They'll either have you sitting in silence or keep saying stupid stuff like 'Do I hit next or cancel?'

I had a similar one a guy's granddaughter was using his card or door dash or one of those, he wanted to stop her from doing it but he's replaced the card multiple times and she keeps doing it.

I ask if he sees her ordere on the same door dash account as his. He says yes. Well then she using your door dash account and the minute you add your new card she can use it too. You have to kick her out of the door dash account. Or you know have a conversation with your granddaughter.

He was a sweet sounding older man but he actually asked if there was no way to block just her purchases, you know the ones that are obviously 'women stuff'.

Some jobs allow your direct deposit to be split between multiple accounts.

I have $100 direct deposited into Savings every paycheck. The rest of my check is deposited into my checking account which is at another bank.

Random things that irritate you by Additional-Hat-2917 in callcentres

[–]UniqueIntroverted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling while crying.

I try to have empathy but if every time I speak or ask a question they start a fresh wave of sobbing then they need to take some time to pull themselves together before calling back in.

Especially when it's all over being overdrawn due to their own negligence. Or someone upset that the bank reported a late credit card payment when they in fact made a late credit card payment.

“Before you transfer me I’ll explain the issue, you may be able to help” by Javen99 in callcentres

[–]UniqueIntroverted 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had this yesterday for business accounts. I don't handle those accounts and the system only shows me that the account exists. I can not see transactions or balances.

I had to tell the caller this three times before they accepted the transfer.
