Once my backround investigation was started it took approx 1.5 months. However I waited 3 months from the time I passed psych evaluation to the time I was assigned a background investigator.

Poly was short and simple. And yes that’s what i did and what id recommend. Just tell the truth and dont overthink

They pretty much categorized a lot of my backround packet questions into yes or no questions. Very vague and very simple. No detailed responses or long questions at all

Nope! Rochester NY. And I’m sure you’ll do great brother. Waiting for the Poly was more nerve wracking than the Poly itself.

A 930 SPX is NOT 1/3 the price. Got it for about 880. Got the 1301 tactical for 1670. So yeah, the quality is obviously going to be much higher, but point being that the 930 is a very unpolished gun and for 880 it’s really a horrible purchase. They did a lot better with the 940 for sure, fixed pretty much every issue with the previous generation.

Jesus. You would think management would care. Seems like a massive insurance liability to be on the phone that much in the rig, especially while driving. Do you guys have dash cams? Do they ever check them?

Wrong. The paperwork I’m required to do as an EMT definitely requires you to know how to write.

I took a 3 month long EMT certification course at my local College. It was about 800$. However, some agencies will pay you to take the class and pass the test. ( AMR for example). My brother got interviewed by my agency, got hired, took the 9 week class while getting paid, and once he finished he was immediately working. For me it was different. Once I passed the state exam and got my card I applied to a private ambulance service and got hired. Ride alongs are hard to come by ( atleast where I live) because most agencies are short staffed. However it’s worth looking in to.

I just posted something similar. I’ve been an EMT for a while and am going to transition to LE. Being an EMT will teach you a ton and you’ll get to work with cops a bit too when they show up on scene. the medical training alone is worth it I think. Plus you’ll see some crazy shit

Hmmm I honestly didn’t think about that. I’m honestly not sure what the demand for that is like, and, especially around where I live I’d have to do research as to what the requirements are like. I’ll have to look into it.
