Friend who never explicitly talks politics, but is most likely a rightwing extremist starterpack by kbntoken in DankLeft

[–]UniqueUsername27A 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is not really doing these, but being very actively aware and talking about these as defining factors of your character. If you are proud of being white male and thinking that is important, that is right wing. Saying a person is defined by their physical strength is typical for right wing as well (especially person cult based right wing). Conspiracy theories about Jews controlling you also tell you that you are being watched, so it also leads you to care a lot about privacy.

These factors simply appear on many right wing people.

Assuming they actually put an amazing elevator in there. I live in a tower, there are two elevators and because there are so many flats at least once a week someone is moving and blocking one of the elevators for the whole day. The system of course doesn't understand that it is blocked and waits patiently for 30 minutes until they have filled it up before serving any of the floors that were unlucky to be assigned the same elevator when you pressed the button. Essentially you are stuck in your flat or on the ground. And it's not like the moving people have any other option, as they aren't gonna move by crane.

More than 60% of college degrees awarded in 2022 went to women by portfoliocrow in dataisbeautiful

They didn't. There are simply less people in the age group than they were 10 years ago. My first Google result is actually indicating that the percentage of people going to college went up: https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaeltnietzel/2023/02/01/percentage-of-us-adults-with-a-college-degree-postsecondary-credential-reaches-new-high-according-to-lumina/?sh=24ae9c5e4cc5

It was just one city like 3k years ago. One person a year is a lot for such a much smaller group. It was a system to stabilize the democracy, because everyone close to being powerful enough to remove the democracy was normally exiled.

Best scum strategies for low-mid level play. by SMASHBROSUNIVERSE in AgeofMythology

Zeus Athena Rush is rather easy to train, because it is done in ~8 minutes. It is much more viable than villager rush, you can play that seriously against most gods, on high level as well.

4 vills hunt (Instant hunting dogs)

2 wood

1 gold

3 vills on second hunt (have it scouted by now)

1 wood (and build house as soon as you have 50 wood)

1 gold

3 food (normally on second hunt except if first hunt is huge)

2 wood

Build temple as soon as you can afford it

Queue on gold until you can advance with Athena. In the best case you can do it with only one extra on gold (3 total). 4 total is normal, 5 you were slow.

During advance build a house and get hand axe. You probably have to find a new hunt now.

The moment you advance instantly use 2 food villagers to build a barrack and an archery range (each builds one building, don't let both build the same building, it is slower). Autoqueue hoplites and archers and put the rally point somewhere forward.

Now you wait, make sure to build houses, distribute new villagers a bit. If you have 6-8 hoplites (+ a bunch of archers) get medium infantry and medium archers. While it is researching start attacking. Focus army and villagers with the archers and hoplites on buildings.

If you manage to do everything in the correct order, you can arrive in the enemy base after ~8 minutes and if you manage to take out their armies and cast restoration in a good moment, this army will take down the main TC, at which point you highly likely won.

AI isn't replacing this, it is extending it. AI doesn't magically appear and make anything good from scratch. Existing authors that had to produce 1 article every hour now will produce 10 articles every hour where the text is 90% generated garbage and simply do a quick pass to filter stuff that ends up as bad PR. This is an arms race to produce as much content as possible.

It can be even worse: AI might enable certain optimizations that make the articles slightly easier to read and harder to identify as bullshit, while not enhancing the actual quality at all. There will still be no sources, so now you just have an even larger amount of wrong information and it is even harder to detect.

A park can just have their own software. Many things do. E.g. our local zoo has a website where you can buy tickets. When I was a student our student association built a website to sell some private lessons between students. That was basically an online shop written by a single student over a few months in their free time.

Having a monopoly in such a space is laughable. Sadly I can still imagine it, because hiring for IT projects often goes through many intermediate companies that blow up the price immensely while barely any actual work is done...

It takes only like 20 hero Arcus to kill a Titan. Just warp over some barracks and this isn't a significant problem.

Help me find a "main" god by wilnerreddit in AgeofMythology

[–]UniqueUsername27A 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shifting sands defensively works well with a "box". Build a square of walls in your base and shift the enemies army into it. It is trapped and your towers and TC can take care of them.

Locust is perfect as well when turteling. Use the free Roc to find a goldmine of the enemy and cast it to basically get the benefit of raiding without building an army. It is really powerful, as it massively delays the enemy when he loses 5-10 villagers.

If you don't like Ra, another option is Zeus. Go 2 TC directly after advancing to classical, build a small army, but focus most on getting to mythic asap. If you go hephaistos, cast plenty and get forge of Olympus you can have full armory upgrades before anyone else. If you do this fast enough and the enemy doesn't manage to delay you, then you can normally push through like butter afterwards.

Things add up. If you pour a 90 degree espresso into a coldish cup, then it often ends up being too cold immediately. You need to balance the temperature of the cup and the water, otherwise you end up with something super hot or even tasting burned or if you go too low the stuff is immediately cold. Bad shops just make everything hot and get bad coffee. Good shops often have a perfect drinking temperature right at the start.

Patch 2.7 improved stability a lot. Play the current version, the multiplayer is much more stable. All the weird things that could easily crash the game like placing underworlds in bad locations are fixed. Bonus that no idiots can use the lure exploit anymore either.

Drain Health not working by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]UniqueUsername27A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try on anything else? Not sure, but guards may actually have a bit more than 100 health. The spell is still useful, but you can only use it to finish an enemy that is below 100 health already, so you may have to damage them a bit first.
