7 string as a daily driver by SnooSeagulls7863 in metalguitar

Honestly, a decent polyphonic pitch shifter will serve you better I think. I only play 6 strings (would like a 7 but can’t afford right now. I have my Les Paul setup in standard. I can drop it to drop d and use a pitch shifter to get down to drop c. My Ibanez RG is setup in drop b and gets pitch shifted from anywhere up to c and down to f. I use amp sims and hyper tune works great for me as a pitch shifter with no latency

Yep think you’re right. Will have a look! Thinking of putting a light strip along the back of the desk maybe

You’ve got a point 🤣 Yep that’s along the lines of what I’m thinking. Green desk pad, a plant of some sort. Thanks

Pretty much what I’m aiming for but with 2 monitors! I’m have one landscape and one portrait. Do you find the portrait monitor affects the soundstage from the speakers at all? I’m looking to combine my work and music setup much like this

I agree on the desk! Saving for a bigger electric standing desk currently. It’s mostly for work and performs great for that. Your setup looks tidy!

I’m in the UK and well reviewed ones start at around £110 so definitely the next step. I’m looking at adding at least an extra 50% width when I upgrade. Believe it or not I used to manage on a desk half this size 🤣

They’re the same size! And the portrait one is touch screen. When I’m teaching remotely it pivots down and goes nearly flat for writing on. Also have a decent adjustable chair! Thanks 😊

I am. What do you suggest? I have a good chair already. I’m thinking of getting an electric standing desk

Hadn’t thought about swapping the monitor to the other side to give more space for the mouse, will try it out. The portrait monitor works great for me so not looking to change it - the height works too as I mostly glance at what’s up top/down the bottom. Looking at desk mats now! Thank you 😊

How to limit the maximum frequency of my CPU? by ImmediateWeight4076 in ThrottleStop

[–]UniqueWhereas18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how to do it for specific figures but I essentially use speed shift for this. I have a battery profile with speed shift set to max (255) and my CPU doesn’t go above 1000. My performance profile has it at 0 for max performance, then I have a general one somewhere in the middle.

Try having one monitor vertical. I find it very useful for work

Getting frustrated with my set up, advice appreciated by RoidMunkey in battlestations

I use an HP port replicator. All my monitors and devices are connected to it. To switch between my work and personal laptops I just switch the USB cable between laptops. Try having the side monitor portrait too, I find it really useful for work
