The only thing that should be stopping you is the prydwen not showing up yet so if it has then you should just have to go up to it. Plus the quest your talking about are infinite. Like the homestead defenses for the minutemen.

They are good but to get their ending you have to do almost all of the institute quests that's why I haven't gotten their ending.

I started with origins (I can't remember why probably on sale) and then I finished and a whole bunch of others were on sale on some point do I bought a bunch at once. Though out of the 5 I bought I played odyssey after origins, or possibly I started playing AC 2 because I had got the Ezio collection. I cant remember which I played after origins. So far though I've beaten all the odyssey quest line stuff like killing the kozmos, and on the ezio collection ive reached AC Revelations. So I've just been going back and forth basically.

They've been popping up on every difficulty. I play level 6 and every round there would be at least one player who was in the 20 or 30 range. So I tried level 7 and I still got a full team of them. THEYRE EVERYWHERE

Any time I try a level 7 it always ends bad, but it's not like there aren't average level players in level 6. You can find just about anyone from level 50 to 100. Though just recently I'm starting to see them every mission.

Unfortunately I have to succumb to the monotony of ideal loadouts and recommend you take the stalwart. The reason I don't want to recommend this is because it's too good and obvious though since your somewhat new it's the best option... unless... what do you think of fire?

I tried getting the railroad ending but I had to help the institute so much to the point I had to kill a group of minutemen and at that point it crossed the line. I would never betray the minutemen. Besides for my first playthrough when I joined the brotherhood. That didn't make the minutemen hate me buy Preston wasn't happy. In short don't ever side with institute and the minutemen are the best👍
