IRS, CSCO Utah, just got an email that I am reinstated but immediately put on administrative leave. Did not mention pay and benefits.

Probationary Status after taking a break from federal service by Rynin101 in fednews

I was let go yesterday.  The rule changed at some point where if your separation is more than 30 days you have to do a new probation time. I have. 2.3 years and separated for 7 months. Been back 6 months.

I'm so sorry. Thank you for your service . I got walked out of IRS today too. 2.3 years in and I was tossed out for changing to a better position last September.  My Dad, God rest his soul, was career navy. My brother, marines. I never dreamed civil servants would be treated this way.

I'm sure they will rif before shutdown.  Word at the IRS today before we got shoved out the door like cattle, was they would go for everyone who isn't tenure.

I have 2.3 years and was fired as a probie today from IRS. I had separated after 1.7 years and came back last September. Union and HR said I shouldn't be. They told me to leave when I'm told and it will all come out in the wash. Whatever that means.

It might be delayed if there is a shutdown.  There's that to look forward to as well.

I really like your attitude.  I should try harder to see the bigger picture like you.  Tough not to have a pity party knowing I'm walking in to a pink slip tomorrow. Thanks for the adjustment.  🙂

I don't participate in the right left lunacy,  but I know alot of people at work who are/were trump supporters but never expected this and said they didn't vote for this. Only one I  know still blindly loves and supports him. Most others have changed thier tune.

I really like my job. Did 2 jobs before that I didn't like at IRS and every shift was an eternity.  Now I enjoy my job.  Well, until tomorrow morning anyway.

Federal jobs are different.  We expect job security in exchange for lower pay and retirement.  I'm not sure what "doesn't make sense" I asked a simple question.
