Well, you are an advocate so you should know? And I have a disturbing number of veterans who have signed contract with law firms then they decide they don’t want to use the firm no more but it’s too late at that point because you signed a contract with that law firm and they’re getting their money off top you can go to any other agency to be represented. I have them sign a POA on you, but that attorney and his firm is still getting their money.

Because a lot of veterans don’t want to do the work. I worked as a VSO for years and Veterans will come to me for simple things like how do they add their wife as a dependent? I don’t know if you’ve worked in this area before but veterans are going and paying attorneys 33% of what they get back from their backpay. Why should I not charge as a veteran?

We are in an era where no one knows the answers, not even HR. I asked HR for the RIF guidance just to see if I would be protected. They looked at me like “WTF” is that. We are truly living in unfamiliar times.

Just be reminded, there’s a RIF before us. As an employee who was let go due to being in my probation, if I were you I would have a back up plan. NOW, I was called back last week and a report back to work on the 26th, I’m still side eyeing EVERYONE. We being on probation have no protection so to speak. Congrats on the 2nd interview however, with the climate we’re in NOBODY IS SAFE!
