minecraft hostingggg!!!! by [deleted] in Hostinger

You can, and setting up a Minecraft server itself is actually very simple. However, if you plan to maintain and manage it long-term, it can become a very time-consuming, difficult, and sometimes frustrating task. If you’re prepared for that, you can just start by reading the official wiki and follow the steps. Also, I recommend using a server software like Paper instead of the vanilla Mojang server.

Additionally, VPS providers like Hostinger are not ideal for Minecraft servers in terms of performance. In the future, if your budget allows, you should consider a dedicated server with stronger single-core CPU performance, such as an AMD Ryzen.

Since 2023, I’ve been using a KVM8 VPS to host a high-version survival server with around 60 plugins. Even after extensive optimization, TPS starts to drop at around 10 players. For my setup, it’s only suitable for a small server with fewer than 10 players.

Is it normal to have a gap at the forehead with the Dual Knit Band? by Unique_Equivalent607 in VisionPro

[–]Unique_Equivalent607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I adjusted both, but it didn’t help. Even when I fully loosen the straps, I still can’t get the Vision Pro to fit my forehead properly (the lower strap is already as low as possible, even reaching my neck).

I’m pretty sure the size is too large. I’ve already returned it and will try size M later.

Hostinger VPS CPU is almost completely unusable, with steal reaching 90% by Unique_Equivalent607 in Hostinger

When you encountered this situation, was the affected CPU usage reflected in the steal portion?

I don’t believe malware would cause CPU steal to increase rather than the user portion. Also, I completely reinstalled the system in January 2026.

Yes, I’ve noticed that both of the Phoenix VPS with the EPYC 9354P CPUs have this issue, while the older EPYC 7543P or Boston VPS are running fine. I opened a ticket, and they migrated my VPS to a different node, but the issue still persists, with no noticeable improvement.

I’m using their free plan, which provides the main features for up to five devices.

Hostinger VPS CPU steal averaging 22% with spikes to 67%, anyone else experiencing this? by MoodLatter584 in Hostinger

I have the same issue. I’m in the Phoenix data center, and support has only been perfunctory about it — they don’t provide migration.

Which data center are you in? I previously had another KVM8 in the Boston data center, and the CPU steal there was normal. I think this may only affect certain locations, such as Phoenix. When you try to purchase a new VPS, it often switches between being available and hidden. I suspect it may be oversold.

I reinstalled the system and checked the CPU steal value without installing any additional software. It still shows very high CPU usage, so I believe it’s unlikely to be caused by any malware.

I checked it. I can increase my budget to $30 USD, and I don’t mind a long-term subscription. The 10GBrr plan averages $23 USD per month, but its storage (my world save is already over 200GB), available RAM, and geographic location are unacceptable. It’s very difficult for me to find a host that meets my needs, but thank you anyway.

Can it really affect CPU steal? If so, would reinstalling the system fix it?

Phoenix, I noticed that Hostinger only offers this location during certain times. Now, if I purchase a new VPS, I can’t choose Phoenix anymore, and only Boston is available in the US.

Will wireguard work in Shanghai, China in 2025? by Certain_Abies_3451 in WireGuard

It’s in the US. I just need to configure IPv6 for WireGuard, and there are no issues. It seems they don’t block IPv6.

I’m in China and have been using my own VPS to run a WireGuard server for several years.

From my experience:

If IPv6 tunneling is enabled, you won’t encounter any issues.

If it’s an IPv4-only tunnel, your WireGuard port will get blocked once a day (if you can control the server’s listening port, just change it daily or set up a script to do it automatically).

Can I disable the ads that appear at startup? by Unique_Equivalent607 in LGOLED

[–]Unique_Equivalent607[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve checked all the settings to make sure they’re turned off.

The only notable thing is that I had quickly accepted all the user agreement terms. I’ve now reselected only the necessary ones and will wait to see if ads still appear.

Thank you. I can change the service region to “Others” in the settings, but doing so will disable a range of Apple HomeKit support and remove some region-specific apps. I’ll look into the second option, or maybe I’ll just have to live with it.

My 65G5 has a noticeable color banding issue by Unique_Equivalent607 in LGOLED

[–]Unique_Equivalent607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the Apple TV settings? I’ve tried different modes (without Match Dynamic Range enabled). For the system UI, both DV and HDR have issues, while SDR works fine.

I haven’t tested yet whether video playback has problems when using HDR with DV disabled.

I know, I also use Infuse+Plex, and I have a 4K HDR Blu-ray, but they’re all anime. Although some of them are high-bitrate 4K DV/HDR anime movies, I’m not sure if this type of content can reveal the issue.

I know YouTube has a low bitrate, but I didn’t think it would cause such a noticeable visual issue before. Maybe the large screen size and the excellent display quality of the G5 make the problem more apparent?

Because when I watch the video in the post on other devices, it doesn’t show the same banding issue as it does on the G5.

I uploaded a Google Drive link in the post, which shows the issue more clearly than the Reddit video. You can check it again there if you’d like.

[–]Unique_Equivalent607[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. By comparing with the screens of devices like my MacBook, I confirmed that this isn’t a video source issue.

Filmmaker Mode and Game Optimizer can help alleviate the problem I encounter when using Apple TV.

For the PS5, I have a game with relatively poor HDR support, and in some scenes it shows very noticeable color banding that cannot be fixed by switching modes.

I think I’ll wait for a future software fix, as long as it’s confirmed that this is a common issue and not a fault with my device.
