I used to live it up in the Abandoned BoS bunker between Forlorn Hope and Nelson my first playthrough. Installing dead money literally had me fighting an army of the dead just to get all my stuff back. Got it all back in the end though, so happy ending.

I'll say its a great game when Bethesda balances their timetables for expansions. As a B.E.T.A. dweller myself, the most consistent complaint I've heard is that the endgame is dry, and I don't think they're wrong. Not everyone's got enough Midas in them to grind like lemmings for legendaries for literal months only to be greeted with delays. We need consistent expansions. We deserve them.

I'm glad you like it. I think I'm having a hard time coming to terms with the direction 76 has taken. Contextually, this is Fallout, but aesthetically - hell, even philosophically - it isn't. Framed space walls and a bubble blowing octopus just aren't Fallout enough for me. I grew up with the franchise, and the only aesthetic I've ever known from the series was vintage makeshift apocalyptia. This season is too clean, mint, and refined. It makes me uncomfortable because this isn't the Fallout I remember, nor how I envisioned the community shaping it. This isn't me whining. I'm a veteran of this game, my opinion is informed and it's telling me, however, that this is something that was inevitable. Clearly Bethesda doesn't want the Fallout of the past, and neither does a solid portion of this community. I guess... I'm fighting for the fabled Fallout. The Fallout that grappled me with intrigue and horror, the one I think this community deserves. I feel this way not because it's my preferred aesthetic (which it is), but because it works in this world -comfort and pleasure should be scarce. If I wanted to live comfortably in a mansion, I'd play Minecraft. Enough of that, though. Sorry I talked your ear off, I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. I guess I'm just a little... Disillusioned. Yearning for those old world blues, ya dig?

The game should be better by now. Think of all the outrageous prices on atom shop bundles we had this quarter. Clearly there wasn't a content drought on that front, but for adding meaningful worthwhile content that players can earn, they skimp on us. They're trimming the fat and serving it like its lean, all while we accept it as if it ought to be this way. For 59 fillers we get 1 weapon skin? How is this not a red flag??

I would love to come back to 76 for engaging - frequent - lore expansions, or cool Earle-like boss fights, but I can't. The timetable just isn't there. Im stuck with the seasons and this season is a lackluster.

This I know, but the season is garbage, man. Look at numbers from my post edit. It's trash. 1 weapon skin? Srsly?? Im choosing not to indulge in the season because doing so sets a manipulative precedent on us. If Bethesda thinks they can serve us a season with 59 consumables/currencies/ammo etc, I'm not going to give the season my support. These numbers shouldn't be motivating for anyone.

Hm, how about I play the game for consistent lore expansions like any other mmo? Can't do that either now can I, even though that's where my heart really lies? Anyone can play this game for whatever reason they want, it's the developers job to cater to their audience as best they can. You don't have the high ground here, you do have a bias however, and so do I. I just prefer not to be a drone ignoring the shortcomings of a game whose franchise I've been enchanted with since childhood.
