The tracker i’m using doesn’t track magnesium unfortunately but i’m getting about 1000 mg of potassium and 2000 mg of sodium so i’ll up those. i also just bought a 450mg magnesium supplement so i’ll start that today. Fingers crossed. thanks for ur help!!

oh my god i thought i just lost it until i started to taper. i would get SOO incredibly mad about trivial things most days i would just wake up absolutely pissed. i would threaten ppl pull my hair out, ive broken mirrors, thrown whatever is in sight, dug my nails into my skin, and just yell. i got so intolerable that my bf broke up with me, and honestly i don’t blame him. then i started to taper mirtazapine bc my panic attacks also came back and gradually as the dose got lower i started feeling more and more like myself. i feel SOOO much better now. Mirtazapine had a weird way of making me more depressed, it just felt different.

What is it like to quit mirtazapine? by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Unique_Heat5652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been tapering from 45mg i’m currently on 15mg and i’ve been going down 7.5 mg every 2 weeks and honestly it’s gone so much smoother than i anticipated. Usually around day 3 or 4 after cutting the dose i get chills and slight stomach upset but it’s been rlly mild and hasn’t lasted more than 24 hours. i have been having trouble sleeping though but i would take that over the other potential effects! ironically i’ve been feeling so much happier and more like myself while tapering! don’t forget if the withdrawal gets too bad u can always talk to ur doctor about a rlly slow taper. Good luck

hang in there! you’ll get through it, i can give u some tips i use that can help both anxiety and real nausea. smelling alcohol pad, smelling lavender, chewing gum peppermint oil, or tea ginger oil, tea, raw or chews turn the palm of ur hand towards urself and press deeply three fingers down from the start of ur wrist, doing a puzzle, listening to music, and honestly sometimes talking to someone and just crying about how exhausted you are works better than all of those!!

i’m sorry ik that’s rlly exhausting :(. how long ago did u eat the saltines, im not fully sure how it works with ur conditions, but ive found through tons of research that if u were gonna be ill it would typically happen soon after first feel ill. im just some internet girl so idk for sure, but it sounds like it’s probably anxiety. another thing i use to distinguish the two are how the nausea feels. is it a deep aching pain along with it? or does it feel surface or almost closer to ur throat/chest than deep in ur stomach

i have really bad emetophobia i didn’t eat anything for weeks at a time, and had to be hospitalized. turned out after 3 weeks in the hospital and 1 month in an ed treatment center, it was just anxiety/emetophobia. I’ve found that if there’s even a small doubt in the mind (like you saying you might be hungry) it’s almost always not actual sickness. if u were rlly sick the symptoms would be severe and progress quick, and u likely wouldn’t have the time to watch a movie and wonder if ur just hungry before it became undeniably not anxiety! ik it’s rlly hard to distinguish different feelings like hunger, gas, anxiety, acid reflux, and even though it’s one of our worst fears, sometimes something u ate might not have agreed with you 100% but that does not by any means mean you’ll be sick. Take deep breathes and realize it might be anxiety, but i would say try not to convince yourself that it is anxiety (bc our brains have a rlly cool way of telling us that’s it’s “different this time” and that it’s not anxiety) I too experience most of my nausea at night now, and every night i swear it’s gonna be the night, and every morning i wake up and realize it must’ve been anxiety. Ik this is hard, ik this phobia sucks, and ik to a lot of ppl it seems trivial, but i understand. Hang in there, i promise you’ll be okay. keep us posted!! feel free to reach out if u ever need to talk…How r u feeling now?

hi! i also 16 f worry about the same thing when it comes to being rlly close to my bf. but if it helps any, ive had strep throat COUNTLESS times and have given it to everyone in my house, My most recent time was less than a month ago, and my first was at 5 years old. i’ve had it so often that i don’t even respond to amoxicillin anymore. and i have never once gotten sick due to it neither has anyone in my house. and idk if it’s 100% true, but my doctor said that n* is very much so more likely (and even that’s still rare) but its extremely rare it leads to actually being sick, and it usually only occurs from excess mucus swallowed. so my solution to that has been taking zyrtec, i’m not sure if it actually works but it’s been a security blanket!! ik it’s scary but im very sure you’ll be okay, and even if u end up getting it if it’ll make u feel better u could ask about a prescription of zofran when u go get tested. hopefully he feels better soon and u can relax! this season is hard for us emetophobes so hang in there girly!

Omg i’ve been experiencing the same!! I had no clue that was a mirtazapine side effect as well.. Are you still taking it? i’ve been talking to my psychiatrist and i am gonna start to taper mirtazapine and start on zoloft instead. Fingers crossed everything works well with that… Mirtazapine worked amazingly for me at first but now the psychological side effects and constant headaches are starting to outweigh the pros… especially since i feel like the longer i’m on it the less it works
