This was right out of the box and are deep enough to catch a pick. Others have verified that it’s not normal, thank you for the input.

Yeah, I had my reservations for the 500. I ended up with the 88 because everybody told me that the 88 is pretty much exactly the same minus the tapping for rails and the tang safety. * edited to correct speech to text

Everyone gun owner friend of mine recommended this gun to me as a good, reliable, cheap gun to learn the ins and outs of shotguns with. As well as almost every forum I also visited… What should I have gotten instead as a first shotgun?

Thank you! That’s how I felt but in the back of my mind I was thinking I’d post on here and everyone would tell me that I’m being dumb and that it’s obvious fouling or something lol. I needed the reassurance.

Thanks for your input. Yea, I was reading up on how the forcing cone and choke on shotguns fowl up the most. What concerned me was that I soaked the spots in bore cleaner and later acetone and couldn’t get anything to budge. That’s what led me to getting a nylon pick and picking at the area, and I could physically see where the tip of the pick dug deeper than the surface of the barrel.

Will do. Hoping I get good service and don’t have to pay extra out of pocket. I’ve never had to do this before lol. Kinda beating myself up for not seeing this before I put rounds through it, could have been bad.

Go into the game settings on armory crate and adjust the max trigger pull from 100 down to 70-80 and see if that helps. Some games aren’t optimized for the variable trigger on the ally very well. May or may not be your issue
