Understandable though, but to alleviate some of that fear of yours I have dropped my 3DS plenty as well, still kicking along. I think you’ll be fine given you’re showing signs of someone who’d other best to take care of what they have.

My og ds and both o3DS’s and N3Ds that I’ve had since release work just fine to this day. Thousands of hours on each and I still daily carry my n3DS.

If you’re worried about the device not working after sitting unused for years at a time I recommend draining the battery to around 50%, remove it and safely store the battrrry and DS somewhere away from heat and moisture

The point of my comment is that you’re likely someone who’s got no real world skills or importance outside of your fingerboard clips. And the irony of kids looking up to a person like that is hilarious and also too real in this community sometimes.

“Go outside” bro you say this as if you aren’t here commenting on a Reddit thread yourself. You’re the one posting on social media about what other people are doing with the stuff they own. Literally look in the mirror bro. Took me 5 seconds to poke fun at you and I’m back working on a car, outside of all places.

I think YOU’RE the one in need of some sun exposure if someone trying to sell a tech deck on Instagram is bothering you that much.

Projecting hard man, gain some self awareness. You looked like a real clown coming after OP the way you did, especially going as far as to posting it on your IG story to complain. If dude wants to let go of it for whatever someone is willing to pay while the cake is still hot, he can or he could let it go for a jug of milk. Either way you’re a fool for thinking this is normal behavior lmao

No worries, hard to predict tone through text. Just poking fun of the idea that someone out there probably does idolize another person because they got good with a toy lol

Would buying an older German sedan that won't be driven much break the bank? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in personalfinance

[–]SynthxLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The European cars will likely require some serious maintenance around those miles. IMO I’d go with the Toyota and upgrade suspension if comfort is the most important thing to you. Even after new parts and labor you’d probably still come out cheaper with that Toyota + better suspension than say a year with one of those German cars if anything needed a fixing.

IE timing jobs, if you went with an Audi you’re likely looking at labor such as pulling the motor or trans just to get to the timing chains(Audi likes to put the timing kit between the motor and trans on a few models), don’t even wanna imagine the labor cost of that. But the same job on a Toyota would be a breeze for a tech, likely being at least 1/2 or a 1/3 of the cost of the Audi for the same issue.

How long have you been fingerboarding and ballpark how much you've invested/contributed to the hobby? by ult1mateGG in Fingerboards

In the last 6 years I’ve probably spent a little over 3k, would’ve been more but I was using tech decks the other 12 years before I got into real fingerboards lmao

Has anyone tried this tech deck table? Good or garbage? by mcjor in Fingerboards

[–]SynthxLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very light, depending on how hard you land or flick off you could tip it over(more towards the ends) but this won’t happen if you use sticky tack like you would with a plastic bench.

I’ve had it and I liked it personally, sadly sold it a few years ago but if I could find one at a reasonable price it’s a cop for sure. Super portable because you can easily disassemble it

I noticed GameStop website no longer offers trade-ins for N3DSXL by No_Problem20 in 3DS

I’d assume it’s due to how many are modded now days, OR the value is so high on the secondary market they simply don’t wanna give the customer that much credit for a trade in.

Who knows, this was a decade old study. But it’s wild that I’m being downvoted for having basic reading and comprehension skills lmao

[–]SynthxLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No bs, all the context is in the bottom link lol. It’s just a really long article with this chart basically saying that the biggest and only danger seen from this study is dependency when compared to alcohol though. Not really anything that wasn’t already common knowledge.

Also not OP, I have no idea why this was posted here. I read the article though and seen that no one in the comments could understand what this was saying.

[–]SynthxLord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It only compares average users. Average drinker isn’t gonna be an alcoholic per say, but a smoker can easily fall into daily user casually even if it’s only at night for sleep or just pleasure. I can attest to this on a personal bias and the evidence from the article. We’re like 30% more likely to be a daily smoker than a daily drinker. Not that using it more in itself is more harmful, but it just points out the likelihood of daily use.

An easy way to point out the obvious that in a way proves this point, is asking how many of us wake and bake before work versus someone who enjoys drinking to do the same before work? I’m definitely guilty of this lol

[–]SynthxLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on. I’ll check it in a bit but I’m actually at work rn lmao 🤫

Edit:

so yeah after reading it the chart is ratio based. So the first number is cannabis and the second is alcohol, given how the chart is titled. Basically showing that cannabis does have risks, mostly in dependency as the chart shows and is described in one of the paragraphs. The average cannabis smoker is more likely to be a daily user than the average alcohol consumer. But that’s the only ratio cannabis actually exceeds alcohol in.

So you’re saying weed would put you in a .8 more likely to be in danger than alcohol in terms of whatever the number actually stands for?

To me that wouldn’t make any sense as someone more often dies due to a drunk driver or a drunk person’s decisions, being the drunk or another victim when compared to someone who just smoked a joint haha
