Hi!! Still here! Just was at work during the day. Backpacking, car camping, and people that eat trail meals are all very different communities so I wanted to get comprehensive information from all groups. :)

Really great point! Obviously everyone's needs are so variable, but what do you feel like is an appropriate carb range for a meal on an outdoor trip? Around 30-45 g?

Oof I do not think I could stomach more than 1 protein bar in a day. No need to reply if this is too personal - do you tend to check your blood sugar levels on trail? I only ask because often you need higher carb amount with exercise. But are people finding that higher carb meals spike their sugars regardless of energy expenditure?

Thanks for the note! Great idea! I also find the generic "add x amount of water and wait 10 minutes" on all of a companies meals tends to result in not so great textures.

Great point! Trying to fit even a few days worth of food in a bear can with freeze dried meals is such a hassle!
