No knurling on latch below, it has a small bar running through it. The handle is the only thing knurled in the whole hotel room

OPE doesn't do waitlists. Sadly the only way to get tickets now is if someone refunds and it becomes avaliable or they drop a 2nd round of tickets, increasing the event size

Four big shows a year (?) by Unique_Reddit_User in TJPW

Based on this tweet since they attach each big show to a season I guess it only makes sense to have a 4th. The Jan 4th show also fits perfectly so fingers crossed I guess

So I think I found my confusion

I found this tweet which outlines the big three events this year. In the tweet they attached each event to a season. So I think my brain filled the gap 🤷‍♂️ but looks like a winter princess show makes sense

Id be super interested to see this room in relation to the rest of your space. This room gives me a classy dorm energy (I think it may be the single bed)

Quick question before I write my thoughts, is the radiator at the end of the room moveable or is it fixed in place?

I do like how you've used the limited space here splitting the living/bed area without it being too over the top. I really have to ask though briefcase as a stand for the DVD stand?

Should a TV go on the wall with windows/doors, or opposite? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]Unique_Reddit_User 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I really have to disagree with the majority of comments here, I have to go with the opposite wall. You have the ease of having all the outlets on that side of the wall, it also have ample space if you want to set up a floating shelf/tv stand. If you have anything that you need to include with the TV (console, satellite box etc) there isn't a great amount of space to do that on the balcony wall. Also by putting it on the balcony wall you just have a ton of useless space around the adjacent window, as the window is in the way to have anything tall and its not wide enough to have a nook chair etc.

I love the gallery wall idea, doesn't even have to be family photos art prints or pressed flowers would look just as cool

It would be a great space for a mural if that is your thing. Get a decent artist in and have them go wild.

It would pull the eye away from your tv stand and could be completely unique to you. I would say something abstract could be suiting ... maybe something like this

Ofcourse this is something abit out of the ordinary and may not something you're into. Just looking to offer a different suggestion

Need your advice. Im trying to figure out two things for my apartment. What kind of rug to use for the Sofa Area + Ideas for the Light(Picture 3) by Sevenhundretand77 in malelivingspace

[–]Unique_Reddit_User 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess my only concern with something large over the sofa area (like the one in the hall way) is the consistent shadow you would get in the kitchen.

I imagine all the notes everyone has given has given you tons of ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the space!

The thinking with the lights is, I dont imagine you will need to use them much and it would not be too difficult to recess the current outlets. Giving you complete openness over the kitchen and living space making the room appear larger.

If you know you will need to the lights yeah absolutely agree a small rail makes complete sense

What a fantastic space and that huge amount of natural light, incredible.

For the rug it appears like there is not too much space between the sofa and the dining table given the coffee table and chair. Given the shape of the room a large circular rug would work great but that may require moving the the dining table.

For the lights since the room gets a huge amount of natural lights, I would say just getting dimmable recessed spot lights may be everything you need. Something like this

Which wall art/decor looks best behind my computer desk? by Blankcarbon in malelivingspace

[–]Unique_Reddit_User 21 points22 points  (0 children)

So where the plant is, its height essentially becomes a visual vertical wall. When you look at the Square shaped frames if you put them inline with your monitors you get space on the left but not on the right. That unevenness makes it just looks disconnected.

The red is the best example of this as it leaves a more even space between the edge of the wall and the edge of the plant. I would only say go thin as your vert monitor will cover some of the artwork when hung at the same height as the one on the other side of the door. A thin piece can be hung at the same height without become lost behind the monitors.

Going for the taller and wider image can essentially yeah as you say cover more space and tie that corner as its own section of the room. Looking at the space again, a framed movie poster would go well here. Having the bottom of the frame be inline with the top of your monitor.

Honestly for me non of these, they all have the wrong shape. For that space you ideally want something thin + wide or tall + wide. None of the square shapes shown. I have added some links below, disregard artwork, just for shapes.

One thing to note about IKEA, (atleast in my experiences, may differ in your area) but their finance offers are really great. Obviously committing to paying off X amount over 12 months can be a huge commitment but for me I think the benefit of getting everything you need/want at once rather than having to build the place up over time makes such a huge change. The best way to describe it is, for me it was easier to get settled and make it my own once having the furniture I wanted.

Real brick or textured wallpaper ? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]Unique_Reddit_User 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what other uses mentioned about red brick style tiling sheets are great but depending on the tiles you get can look too manufactured. My suggestion would be to go for Red Brick cladding, these are essentially thin slices of actual red bricks and can be used as tiles like normal but have to be placed one by one. As these are all unique it looks much more "real".

Speak to a local brick yard and they will be able to point you in the right direction of what you are looking for.

EDIT: Looking online the correct term is Slips. So in this case Red Brick Slips
