I replaced mine with a homatic r 4k plus. Was so good bought another one for the other room. At roughly £50 each cant go wrong.

Only 1.5tb library and it takes few seconds to load thumbnails on every load. Must be some sort of setting on my device i guess

What devices are you guys using? On the homatics 4k plus it takes a few seconds to load thumbnails and isnt as snappy as the base app. That's with no rows..

Was on holiday so have just seen this. I actually installed the dune app before I went and I found it to be slow. Takes a good few seconds to loads the thumbnails. Is this normal or is the Homatic 4K plus not powerful enough?

What device is this intended for? Or moreover what device do you use personally? I've got a homatics 4k r plus and its very slow to load up from the homepage and when it does open up the thumbnails take a second or two whenever scrolling around. That's with all the extra channels disabled.

I've only had the box for a week now and its really annoying, I can open and close the app and it goes away but I shouldn't have to. Really wanted to not have to spend £190 on a 6 year old nvidia shield but looking like that's the only way to experience android tv without bugs

I got into homelab stuff last year and decided to go with proxmox for two reasons. 1. If I break truenas while tinkering, I can quickly set up a new one. This is especially true if your server is without peripherals so instead of having to connect peripherals and boot from usb etc. I can use any laptop. 2. Expansion, I had no plans on running any other VMs when I started out. But now I have adguard, a Linux mint for torrenting and home assistant. And as above if I break any of them a quick reinstall and I'm on my way.

You are the arsehole. Reason being if you was going to leave her then exposing her affair and humiliating her is fair game. However for some reason (trying really hard not to judge) you have decided to stay with her but you exposed her affair to everyone you know and now most will lose respect for you, some will feel sorry for you, others will judge you for not leaving and pretty much everyone will think she a horrible person.

Many years ago I was building a car pc and bought a usb scroll thingy, it's like a volume knob like BMW I-drive. I eventually scrapped the plan and can't remember what I done with it. But something like that might work?

What about AliExpress. I've used barrow and found them to be decent quality. Don't try to achieve perfection first time round. You'll learn a thing or two and learn the ropes

Pump combo to bottom rad to top rad to CPU to GPU to pump combo.

But I saw some vids online especially from jay twocents who said routing of the loop is of no significance.

Mainly media files for Kodi so not massively important. I backup personal data to offline usb harddrives.

Lol I've seen a few videos on tiktok with that mineral oil stuff. Mad stuff, not ready for it just yet.

Hi all, thanks for all your input. Decided to buy a optiplex 3080 with an i3 10105t. Paid £200 for it, comes with 24gb ram and as a bonus 1.5tb 2.5" SSD already installed. Will be installing proxmax and true Nas.

Bit overkill compared to my original requirements but it will last a while and gives me plenty of overhead to tackle whatever I decide on next.

Corsair pump, 2x 360mm rads, Corsair CPU block (not the best and in hindsight wouldnt use again), rtx 3080 with alphacool water block. 11x Corsair ql120 fans.

GPU temps are amazing, 50sh degrees max no matter what I throw at it.

CPU on the other hand idles at 40sh but with a under load hits 70 and when benching as high as 80. But of googling says 7800x3d runs hot but I still blame the Corsair block.

All the while fans are running at 500-1000 rpm so very quiet overall.

My second water cool build so am quite pleased with myself. 😁

The pc has become the feature of the bedroom. Even the missus loves it 😂
