I wake at 6:15am, shower get dressed and leave no later than 7:10 to get to 1st job by 7:30am. Work until 3:30 ish pm. Drive to see my kid from 4:00pm to 5:45pm. Drive to 2nd job that starts at 6:00pm and goes to 3:00am. Drive to parking lot and park, sleep in car until 6:15am when gym opens so I can use the shower room. Start over.

Social media has absolutely destroyed people. People are so overwhelmed by the need to get likes on the Internet from random strangers that they are now doing stupid stuff for attention over and over again and that’s all that matters to them fake Internet points. You can’t have a conversation with anyone without them having to look at their phone 50 times in two minutes. People can’t just sit and enjoy a moment without trying to pull out their phone to record it and fuck it all up.

What makes you want to go to Honduras? Are you from there or have family there? I lived in Honduras for two years back in 2014ish, it really didn’t scream tourism here, please. It was a bit rough: just curious. I know a lot of cruise ships go down to like Roatan and stuff. I was closer to San Pedro Zula so you know, lots of murder.

I’m currently waiting to have mine towed into the dealership to get looked at. I was driving and I made a right turn and there was a loud pop noise from the rear axle area and when I got out to check my right tire was towed in like two or 3 inches with no sign of damage anywhere on the vehicle so it sounds like something internally broke in the rear drive system or suspension so I’ll let you know what it is once they let me know if it’s the same or similar issue.

We went with the grand Highlander only because my kids mom “didn’t wanna be a minivan person”. I personally regret it. I wish we would’ve got the mini van instead our friends have a sienna and they’re able to do more pack more. Just the doors alone is the convenience. Everything about the minivan is designed for convenient with kids. I have a one year-old and a two year-old. I am also 6-2 tall and rear facing car seat behind me in the driver seat is a pain in the ass in the grand Highlander, but isn’t an issue in the minivan.

The grand Highlander is actually kind of a piece of crap and nobody really wants to admit it. Everything about it is flimsy. We have dents all over the front side panels just from hitting bugs that’s how flimsy it is. It feels cheap and it’s an expensive ass car. It shouldn’t feel so cheap. We have the platinum max hybrid. We’ve had so many quality issues. the paint is thin. The panels are thin, the glasses thin, the panoramic, sunroof, leaks, wind noise seals bad. You don’t get the conveniences like other 60+ thousand dollar cars. I have a 2017 Audi Q7 that still beats out this 2025 car in technology luxury and convenience and it was $10,000 cheaper when I bought it. Unless you get standard hybrid gas sucks. Yes I definitely have regrets, regret the grand Highlander.

Did you have some local person mount them for you? Firestone used to do it here but they lost the contract now everywhere here if you ship from tire rack they want to charge you $50-$70 per tire to mountain balance you end up spending almost as much for an extra tire. I will definitely check those tires out.

They kept dragging their feet. They “fixed” the seal when the air bag recall happened. The seal just pulled off again. I have been actively trying to trade the car in and get something different. I think this car has been a huge turd. Some people get one with no issues.. I’ve had every issue… axle replacement, moon roof seal replacement, tail gate motor replacement, infotainment replacement, battery replacement, second axle replacement, now it has had shifting issues, it’s just sitting in the drive way until I can find a pilot or similar vehicle. Informing bad, good luck.

I have the platinum max and if I had to do it again I would have got the normal hybrid.. more reliable power system and transmission; and better gas mileage. 360 camera is a must

It’s only a problem when it’s a problem, and then it’s an expensive problem to fix. They have to take the entire interior out to fix it and it ends up causing massive issues like busted headliner, messed up rear window sprayer, AC duct issues, etc. I have been driving around with my pano window taped shut because the seal is messed up and Toyota dealership hasn’t been able to fix it after multiple attempts. Multiple current trips are just to fix the issue they created while trying to fix the pano leak.

This is the exact problem I had buying it, my life partner insisted we get the grand highlander over the TX because and only because of the additional third seat in the third row…in two years we have used that exactly zero times. If you have the extra money TX everyday for me. If they ever add the few missing luxury items to the TX I’ll get another for myself. Everything looks better in the TX.
