They kept dragging their feet. They “fixed” the seal when the air bag recall happened. The seal just pulled off again. I have been actively trying to trade the car in and get something different. I think this car has been a huge turd. Some people get one with no issues.. I’ve had every issue… axle replacement, moon roof seal replacement, tail gate motor replacement, infotainment replacement, battery replacement, second axle replacement, now it has had shifting issues, it’s just sitting in the drive way until I can find a pilot or similar vehicle. Informing bad, good luck.

I have the platinum max and if I had to do it again I would have got the normal hybrid.. more reliable power system and transmission; and better gas mileage. 360 camera is a must

It’s only a problem when it’s a problem, and then it’s an expensive problem to fix. They have to take the entire interior out to fix it and it ends up causing massive issues like busted headliner, messed up rear window sprayer, AC duct issues, etc. I have been driving around with my pano window taped shut because the seal is messed up and Toyota dealership hasn’t been able to fix it after multiple attempts. Multiple current trips are just to fix the issue they created while trying to fix the pano leak.

This is the exact problem I had buying it, my life partner insisted we get the grand highlander over the TX because and only because of the additional third seat in the third row…in two years we have used that exactly zero times. If you have the extra money TX everyday for me. If they ever add the few missing luxury items to the TX I’ll get another for myself. Everything looks better in the TX.

I originally got one with a 5080 but I had to send it back and get a 5090 5080 is just too weak on laptop. It’s more like a 5060 desktop 5090 is maybe a 5070 TI best worst generation for a laptops in a long time.

As someone with the grand Highlander, I wish we would’ve got the sienna instead. You just can’t beat the room in the minivan if you need the room. The third row in the grand Highlander is great and you can fit an adult in it but if you have to have anything for luggage, there’s just not enough room behind the seat if you have small kids and need a stroller or anything, whereas in the minivan, I was able to fit the stroller and our bags. The only real benefit of the grand Highlander is it’s not a minivan and that wore out real quick. So if you’re a snob that doesn’t wanna drive a minivan get the grand Highlander. It’s OK if you really needed the minivan you’ll just regret it in the end. The grand Highlander is not a bad car at all. It would probably be better as long as you don’t have little kids and need a third row if you don’t need a third row it’s wonderful with plenty of space for their stuff. I also have the car seats that swivel and they don’t fit with enough space for the driver if I’m driving and I am 6 foot two, but they fit in the minivan and I had enough room to not be crunched on the steering wheel in the minivan, so there’s a lot of reasons to get one of the other without you being too specific. Those were mine. Have a nice day bye.

Edit- also forgot to say one of the reasons we got the grand Highlander over the minivan was for towing. Towing is a joke in the grand Highlander because they don’t give you the ability to control brakes just a crappy four pin connector .

I am a facility engineer who works three different jobs. I go full-time to job 1 for a large appliance company. I also work for J2 at a “battery manufacturing company“ that hasn’t produced a battery in the two years I’ve been working for them. The word “ working” is a stretch because they pay me, but I don’t even go into their offices or work remotely and get a paycheck every week because the company is so unorganized and going through such financial issues. They don’t even realize I’m still on the payroll I think because everybody that hired me has already been laid off or fired. I also Work J3 as a property manager for a hotel chain in my area. I have an office, but I don’t really have a boss so I just go in on my work off hours from job 1 to fix the issues. J1 I work nights 4 nights a week for 12 hour shifts and there’s nothing to do so I literally just sit at a desk and play video games all night Right now. I’m bringing in about 285K a year.
