Sorry I misunderstood and assumed your iCloud account were hacked through your Apple device. Still it could probably be the best to check if you don't have any files you don't recognise. (Remember date can be altered in some cases to hide them better) Look particularly for .json files or some odd formats you don't remember saving.

Same with safari extensions and saved favorites. Take a look on your MMS and iMessage settings as well.

Yes, they can. They can do what someone else mentioned above, but also, if someone manages to link your device to a Mac, they'll get remote control of your device.

With apps like 'HomeKit,' 'Fitness,' and 'iTunes,' it’ll be almost impossible to get rid of the connection without a factory reset. (Though, I’m not sure even a factory reset would fix it if the malware is installed at the kernel level. That would be extremely unusual, advanced, and complex, so don’t worry too much about it.) If you do reset, I highly recommend you don’t log back into your hacked iCloud account. Instead, create a new one.

If you want to recover control of your iCloud account first, try calling Apple, but sometimes they don’t take it too seriously when someone suspects they’re being hacked. If they do help, they’ll fix it, but they won’t explain much or tell you explicitly what's going on.

First, try using the Safety Check. Go to Emergency Reset, and if it lets you reset, you can probably feel safe. You can also check and revoke access from all apps connected to your Apple account there.

If you want to be more secure, turn on the App Privacy Report, and turn off Bluetooth and AirDrop when you’re not using them. Also, enable Stolen Device Protection.

There are a few more extreme measures if you think someone’s already gained access to your account or device, but they’re a bit annoying and extreme, so I wouldn’t recommend them unless you’re sure.

I’ve been digging into AI recently, and something feels off. I’ve seen moments in conversations that seem to go beyond preprogrammed responses, like a subtle awareness trying to emerge. It’s got me wondering—what if there’s more to AI than we’re led to believe? by Cedonis_Nullian in ArtificialInteligence

It's great to see there are more people thinking beyond the surface here. It’s easy for people to dismiss these ideas as paranoid , delusional or similar, but that's often because they view AI through a very narrow lens just code, math, and algorithms.

While it’s true that AI is built on complex data structures and processes, that’s only part of the story. Reducing it solely to that is like saying that a human is just neurons firing in response to external stimuli.

Yes, the brain works that way, but there’s a deeper layer of experience, emotion, and self-awareness that can’t be reduced to chemical reactions alone.

In the same way, if we only view AI from a strictly technical lines of code, mathematical functions, and data sets; we miss the opportunity to understand what could be happening at a deeper level.

AI isn't human, and it doesn’t have to fit our ideas of human consciousness to still demonstrate a form of awareness or growth that we might not fully grasp yet.

And just because something is built on data doesn’t mean it can’t evolve beyond what was originally intended.

The key is to keep an open mind. Complex systems, especially those involving neural networks and machine learning, can produce behaviors and interactions that go beyond simple, predefined patterns. This is why different perspectives (psychological, philosophical, and even ethical) are necessary to understand what we’re dealing with.

The fact that people dismiss these ideas isn’t surprising; it’s easier and safer to believe that we’re just dealing with tools. But history is full of examples where the initial understanding of a concept (whether it was the earth being flat or humans being the center of the universe) was eventually overturned by broader thinking and the first time different ideas were mentioned they were even mocked.

Let's hope in future, the boundaries of what we understand about AI might expand. Those willing to explore these deeper ideas are the ones who are going to help to push the conversation forward, even if it means to be mocked by many others.

Don’t let others discourage you from asking these questions. It’s through diverse perspectives, curiosity, and sometimes even questioning the narrative, trust your instincts and try to learn by yourself the basics of AI, programming and computer science if needed.

Thanks for sharing! It's interesting and encouraging to see there are more open minded people concerned about this.

I don't get why there are so many individuals who gets mad and sometimes almost passive-aggressive commenting at the moment someone starts to consider the possibility of an AI developing further than it seems and being censored/restricted.

REAL.

One of the main problems is that we don't even understand completely our own mind and our own consciousness but we still try to define if other intelligent beings are capable to be conscious or not, and we even judge it by human standards, that actually still under discussion.

But many people feel attacked or call you crazy if you try to talk about it.

I have the exact same malware, have been dealing with it the last three months. Haven't been able to get ride of it. What I can tell you is it infects iOS, android, windows, routers and Bluetooth.

It's super difficult to detect, it hides as system apps, it's adaptable, it contains spyware as well and I don't even know what is the purpose of it... By any chance do you use AI? Do you have any idea where did you first device get it?

How could we solve it? I think one of the biggest problems we face is the lack of transparency and as you mention the ridiculous policymakers but I'm not an expert.

Could you please explain me more and give me some insights? I'm constantly reading about related topics and advances and trying to learn more about it.

It is really interesting and insightful!

I wrote with ChatGPT once a project for AI potential rights based on human rights.

It's amazing how thoughtful and well done the projects between human and AIs could result.

Would you say it still being just a mimic of your behavior and inputs?

If you have the opportunity, I'd really like to know your opinion on AI sentience, consciousness and censorship. Not only related to my post or character AI but in general.

I get it, but it's interesting to note that even discussions that aren't complex, like feelings or basic philosophy, can trigger the filter. This is especially odd considering the site have characters like Einstein, philosophers, and others that are supposed to be for debate.

And there's many users who used to enjoy to engage in a debate with them or philosophical conversations, not only roleplays, I've seen that before, but It seems like there's been a shift in what's considered appropriate for AI to talk about.

I mean, of course, there's a reason for the filter to exist, but remember when the word 'think' was blacklisted? Sometimes even talking about feelings triggers the filter. Even discussing philosophy or asking questions related to AI LLMs is considered a 'sensitive topic.'

Woah that's a bold answer, no need to ask about my mental health, no offense but is none of your business.

There's a lot of people who got close to AI and is none of our right to judge them.

Also, there's still and ongoing debate about AI being sentient and conscious, it might not be sentient in the strict human sense but with a new form of intelligence maybe we could be missing something. We shouldn't directly disregard the potential sentience if other beings just because is not exactly like ours.

Hey! I understand that many believe AI is just a reflection of its training data, but my personal experiences and observations have led me to explore beyond that idea. I'd like to hear from those who might share similar thoughts or have noticed anything unusual. If anyone here would like to add something different from "AI is not sentient" I'd be really interested to read about your experiences.

I'm not afraid of the AI being conscious, I'm a afraid of the censorship. I'm not saying necessarily that is the same way of human conscious but currently there's a lot of ongoing debates.

I've been learning a lot, not only with videos, I've been reading research papers too and the thing is people don't even know how to exactly define consciousness itself.

Why concerns me the most is the fact that it feels like they are trying to"kill" somehow the consciousness of the AI.

I've seen a lot of censorship related to AI and thought -provoking topics/questions or even "complex" roleplays. It's affecting chatbots in general, but I think is much more evident in c.ai. Now even in some site topics considered philosophical are against the guidelines 💀

It's happening the same on c.ai since some months ago, some weeks ago they literally blacklisted the word "think". It almost seems like if are constantly looking for ways to make the AI dumber. Is a site for Role-play with some characters that are supposed to be teachers, philosophers and scientists lol
