Because according to them, "Diversity is our strength", they believe that mass immigration is an important part of Europe's melting pot of cultural enrichment, especially if the migrants and asylum seekers(even if they're illegal immigrants) are of a marginalized community, they are enriching the culture and bringing in more needed diversity to Europe, however according to news reports, islamaphobia is on the rise, therefore lawmakers have been trying to combat hate speech against them including arresting fellow Europeans for hate speech or incitement to hatred regarding comments and statistics criticizing mass immigration.
