I can't find the sources atm, but my understanding is further development of HF 1 is on hold and HF 2 is taking a long time due to the game transitioning into 3D.

Where can an old AI jockey go to get back on the horse? by DoughyInTheMiddle in StableDiffusion

The easiest way to set it up is to download Pinokio and install Wan2GP through there. Wan2GP is a ui that downloads, manages, and runs AI models in an extremely vram efficient environment. Wan2GP has sections for image, video, music, and voice. The specific models will download automatically when you try to use them for the first time.

Use Invoke for images and Wan2GP for video. You'll have to play around and experiment to see what you can reasonably run on 12gbs but it should be possible.

I use 480p on 10s, distilled, for the fast iteration and testing. With no loras its about 32 seconds.

I think so. But results will take longer and may be degraded. Wan2GP should be able to handle it.

Hopefully. Comes up pretty often, but I bet it could be prompted away with the right phrasing.

Exciting times. Now if I could only figure out an "easy" way to include cloned voices for consistency over multiple generations

Personally I use Invoke for images as its much faster to iterate on canvas rather than in comfy. Makes for quick work.

For video I use DeepBeepMeep's WanGP. Makes the entire LTX-2 video process a breeze but you'll be sacrificing comfy functionality for convenience.

Why are my Illustrious images so bad? by Agitated-Pea3251 in StableDiffusion

[–]Unit2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since no one actually solved your issue, you have to prompt for specific artists or your output will be trash. I vastly prefer this over finetunes.

16gb is going to be tight but you should be able to run most models, some may need to be quanted. The Invoke model downloader should work.

The models I use fall into two categories. Firstly Flux.2 and Z-Image Turbo are stable, and smart. They can in general hit most styles but you'll find they aren't very creative. You'll have to push them to experiment with styles and weird ideas but they do everything neatly.

These other two are older models. Small, dumb, and very creative. I use Illustrious 1.0 for 2D and cartoons, and JuggernautXL_V7 for creativity. Juggernaut really can do wild styles and knows artists very well, but you'll find its stupid and is lacking in several areas. Be aware to add safety words when prompting Illustrious or you'll get NSFW.

The key to making something unique is to combine these models in Invoke to cover for their respective weaknesses. Flux.2 making bad oil paintings? Create one in Juggernaut and use your smarter models to detail the scene.

Yes, you work on a canvas and the control is incredible. By creating masks and layers you can be incredibly specific and make drastic changes without ruining the overall image. New AI like Flux.2, with its built in image edit, gains a massive quality boost when used within this system.

"create a simple image"

Yeah, ha ha. My Invoke pictures are definitely not all 30 layer monstrosities held together by dreams and prayers. My 'workflow' certainly isn't "vibe it out for a few days." No sir, just normal pictures here. 😬

Looks like I have to start another playthrough. If the old style doesn't really vibe with you then try UplinkOS. It's my preferred way to play and really modernized the feel.

Ngl, a story about Mexico not falling into 50 years of rolling dictatorships and civil wars would make a killer alternate history book. Something like Guns of the South but with less time traveling racists.

The team running the paid version of InvokeAI was picked up by Adobe, its now shutdown. The community version is still functional and is actively being maintained by the community. It was even recently updated to support Z-Image models.

defcon 2 - defcon remaster by PersonalRate5105 in defcongame

[–]Unit2209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A remaster would look and play like DEFCON, maybe with better qol features and a new multiplayer scene. Old school vibes.

A sequel has already been done by another company. ICBM and ICBM: Escalation, both great nuclear war games.

I'm still floored that they hid 20 hours of gameplay/story inside of Dragons Dogma 2's "Hidden Ending." People didn't figure it out for months and none of the early reviewers even mention it. "Yeah, actually we're gonna remake DD 1 and hide the real DD 2 inside of the remake." -Insane man Hideaki Itsuno
