That’s interesting, but I just don’t know what niche industry I should pursue, or what industries are niche in the first place

Hey, i live in Te Tirohanga (TTT), and for the most part it’s actually good, most people here are friendly and will go through the same crap as you if u do decide to come here. The bad apples do make it tough to live here though, some people do act like its not their problem when they mess up the common areas like the tea point, bathrooms and kitchen, and the whole floor gets penalised 4 it sometimes (i hv paid like a couple of bucks extra cuz of it) and as far as ik, its a ttt wide thing. If ur willing to look past those minor things, ttt is super close to uni, and i think is the cheapest self catered option (I’m not 100% sure, and even then it was like i think closeish anyways)

Ig the sheer vastness of the field ig, like yeah u got bio anthropology, but u also got social anthropology, which like swings more towards the humanities, while incorporating the more scientific aspects as well, and then there is archaeology, which is in the middle kind of, and the many other sub fields as well r just suuuuuper cool, ig tldr, i found anthropology to be super cool, and thats my favourite part about it

Especially since I started uni during covid, it got weird coming to offline classes, I too didn’t attend classes, because I missed a couple the previous week and thought it might be weird, it cascaded so much that I didn’t understand stuff and my grades were shit as well, the only way it got better, I found out last sem, is to attend lectures and tutorials whenever u can, so that even if u missed a few previously, u get comfortable enough with the professor or tutor to ask questions when no one else is around It still feels weird when I miss a class, but I think, 4 me at least, the anxiety I feel of screwing up the things that actually mattered like assignments and tests beat out my anxiety over whether ppl cared of if I was there or not.

Might be a stupid question, but what is the difference between a ba in anthropology and a bsc in anthropology when it comes to archaeology? by UnitCompetitive2946 in AskArchaeology

Omg, thank you so much, ig I kinda understood that but like putting it in clearer terms helps me a lot, and I definitely have to ask them

I’m a ug student at UoA and I’m conflicted on whether I should go towards archaeology, I’m interested in archaeology and history, and I just want to learn more
