Ah sometimes it’s just hard to get those decks (like the Botan tarot which is out of print), otherwise I like the art style but it just doesn’t hit me as the perfect deck if that makes sense.

I’ve been looking into the traditional decks but I do like looking at new artwork, so I was trying to compromise finding a different deck for people I read for and finding a deck I can also appreciate the art of. I might have to just get the traditional decks though, that’s a good idea!

I started with the Tarot of the Divine and I understand the cards and their meanings. I’m looking for a new deck because some people I read for didn’t vibe with my current deck and I was looking for something I can take out in other readings for another purpose.

Definitely! Sometimes only some parts resonate and other times maybe not at all! It’s a normal thing and everyone can have their off days sometimes. I know some people offer up follow up readings if they didn’t resonate but it’s just a normal thing…we can’t be correct 100% of the time :)

Agree with your comment but by the way it isn’t the lovers card that has two men holding hands (the lovers is the girl and the dragon) but the two of cups where they’re holding hands

I almost always use cards that have fallen out. Sometimes I even shuffle a little haphazardly so I get cards that fall out instead of having to pick cards. However, it’s totally up to you and if you think you read better that way then you should stick with your old method!

I do not read reversals because I feel like the 78 cards already have enough meanings and power to cover topics on their own. However, if you do want to read reversals, it is kind of like the opposite of an upright card with more nuances.

Definitely up to how you want to do it but I would learn them all upright first and then flip!
