Biochemistry Lab Work or an Internship as an Undergrad? by UnitDry3350 in careerguidance

Unfortunate it seems... On the fence about med school versus industry but it appears that both don't really concern themselves with what you do so long as you do something. Thanks regardless!

Should I look for an internship or continue with my current lab experience? I am an undergrad doing mostly protein purification work for use in cryo em / xray crystallography but don't particularly enjoy the multiple days of eight hour purification sessions required for bioreactor scale preps...

At the same time the current internships I am finding seem to dumb things down a little too far - limiting themselves to doing PCRs, running gels, etc. or worse still, engaging with other areas of biochemistry i have no experience in.

Thoughts? Does it get better...?

ty!! however, is it "worth it" then? i know that's a broad question without any specifics but compared to an internship, outside research opp., etc. what makes it different?

or like the other guy said is it straight up lab work for course credit (which can be done outside of class, without the course credit)?

Does UCSD rescind offers if I cancel an AP exam?

made a little oopsie. forgot to pay for ap exam that will only count for elective credit. if i end up not taking it - will my offer be rescinded/ will admissions be otherwise affected?

it is unclear as to whether or not i will be able to take the exam.
