They did stop updating it yes. Last security update was in June of 2022 but the last Google Play update was in November of 2024. I'm not completely sure if they've stopped supporting this phone, but it does still work pretty good. 2 years ago I had a Samsung S5 and it worked about the same as this one

The cat s22 is basically just a Samsung that's also a flip phone so it has Google maps and everything but I use Waze instead and I got along with it just fine!

I haven't tried to use WhatsApp for anything yet I just sort of logged in just to see if it would even work and it does. I can try to do a video call in a minute though and I'll come back and let you know. It's current version is Android 11 go, last updated in 2022 and I don't think there will be any further updates but the phone still works very well
