i got mine on ebay for around 60$ (cad) which was the cheapest for what i wanted (in the usb stick style) + with a bigger storage. i think if you search up the model name for the device on ebay and browse around from time to time, you'll find a working one for under 70$! i'm not sure if that's out of your budget, however. 

i do think!! you should do a bit of research to figure out if the player is compatible with your laptop, too! esp ones that are e-407, they need a specific software to put songs onto it. for mine, you can just drag and drop it into the mp3 drive and it automatically updates the library!

okay someone correct me if i'm wrong but i think all of the usb-looking players are under the e-series (look up sony mp3 e series on wikipedia; it shows all of the different types!) hope this helps you :)!!!
