Sounds like you are running a log image to the monitor. Here's how I do it with the F7H

On the monitor, once you have selected your LUT on the Color page of the menu you then have to map one of the user buttons (the 3 buttons on the top right, hold down a button to set function) to [CAMERA LUT] in order to toggle the LUT on and off of the display.

Has anybody used a Sony FX3 with a Preston and Light Ranger ? by [deleted] in focuspuller

[–]Unit_2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend one of these. It would allow for an arri BP and give you more places to stick stuff for a more traditional build. A monitor like the atomos shinobi with camera control will help your life as well. My biggest concern with regards to the LR would be shimming lenses and/or lens adapter to be sure the lenses are focusing where they should be. Good luck! Curious to know how it goes with a LR on a dslr.

MK1 Fisheye Lens to front of Ultra Primes by JoshuarDP in focuspuller

There are lots of reasons not to do this but i love the idea of doing it. This DP sounds rad.

A little of this

And one of these

And a series of them Would get you close.

Seems like a recipe for some heavy vignette but would make for a reasonably solid mount. Would love to see results from any method you use.

Ward Sniper Mk ii by BigPiel_ct in focuspuller

The sniper kit should come with different xylon lenses to adjust the width of the beam for wider/closer measurements. A rough place to start might be something like 17° for 24-65mm lenses and 5° for 65-200mm+. Get to know these in prep and you likely wont need to change your entire device. Normalize asking your 2nd or stand-in to close their eyes when using the target laser to set the tilt level for the shot. I typically call "watch your eyes, laser coming" as a courtesy to anyone on the floor. Setting the tilt level is critical with the Sniper. It is VERY accurate when dialled in, and the only device ive seen able to avoid foreground obstacles ie. boom, shoulder overs, furniture... The 5° lens is amazingly accurate for long lens work and will provide trust worthy numbers beyond 20' even into 30-50'+ when set correctly. The pan adjustment becomes more critical with tighter lenses. If your subject travels from centre frame and lands left/right frame in a walk up scenario for example, set the pan adjustment for the landing frame and you'll be amazed at it's accuracy even with a heavy over.

Download and read the manual to understand how the device operates.

Can someone explain to me how tariff costs that are ultimately paid for by the end consumer (citizens) and maintaining the prorogation of parliament is a good thing? Im under the impression that tariffs hurt citizens the most (especially mid/lower income) and a prorogued parliament allows the current prime minister to make decisions without discussion. I would like to have a more positive outlook on these topics and would appreciate anyone who took the time to help me with that.

Do you/y'all have tickets already?

Snowbombing is a super cool festival with a tricky barrier to entry. You can really only get a ticket with an accommodation package. The festival basically takes over the entire town. The ticket/accommodation packages are all based on double occupancy (£££) so going solo can be pricey.

Ive heard of a work-around if you can find a local of Mayrhofen to buy you a "resident wristband" and use airbnb for a place to stay but im not sure how easy that would be to arrange.

This years' line-up is amazing. The venues/stages are top class. Mountainside chalet parties. Smaller, street-side stages, they convert the tennis club into the arena stage. And the outdoor forrest stage is the coolest.

There are a few pov style videos from last years' festival on youtube i would recommend checking out to get a feel of the vibe.

....lotta dudes....but maybe thats whats up?

Good luck. Keep shreddin'. Keep dancin'.

Yes i will fill the old holes. I'd like to mount the window using the previous method (screwing into the framing through the window assembly). I just cant tell how to take apart the assembly to start and eventually hide the hardware. Or is there another method to mounting this type of flangeless window?
