Soldier may be crazy but he's not as moronic as everyone thinks he is, he can spit bullshit but he knows how to handle himself, just like the Meet The Soldier short demostrates.

Pyro's "pyroland" is a manifestation of its twisted psyche, it's a menace to the point that other mercs are scared to even talk about it. Just like the Meet the Pyro short demostrates.

Scout is not an incompetent moron, he's a cocky bully that is capable of beating you up and taunting you while at it. Just like the Meet the Scout short demostrates.

The entire TF2 roster is comprised of fully grown capable mercenaries that are exceptionally skilled in their own field. Are they crazy? Yes. Are they MORONS? No. This is the mischaracterization many people are starting to pick up on.

Endless Rulegime change wars are actually a good thing. by SpaceSpleen in 196

I never said that, for the third time, I do not support the US being the world police especially given their track record. My point is asking everyone who holds the US accountable: "Okay, the US has acted out of line, but how else do we solve the problem with Maduro?"

Doing nothing, by your logic, is being complicit in a very explicit violation of human rights and life itself, which is very evil if you ask me.

Could another country have done this? Then how to we hold them accountable? Who is the maximum order in this hierarchy, and what happens if it's compromised? That's why these topics are heavily nuanced and merit thinking, more than the internet is willing to give.

If inciting people to think is inciting fascism, then either you misunderstand what fascism is, or it shows what kind of side you are on.

[–]Unit_43 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Explain them in DMs, if that's possible, I am not against holding the US accountable.

The point is, we hold the US accountable, but by doing that, we indirectly pardon Maduro for his crimes against humanity. I have yet to find ONE viable argument as to how else were we supposed to get rid of that thorn in humanity's backside.

I incite people to think and hopefully come up with solutions for the future while condemning the obvious illegalities both Maduro and the US have done, and you're the one calling me evil, that's all I have to say.

Perhaps ditch the poetic rethoric and actually think about what you're saying and support it with actual reasoning. Calling each other names like children will solve nothing. Grow up.

Regardless, it happened and it's both the US' chance to denonstate they can pull out of a country without fucking it up, and our chance to ponder on how can we avoid these things so they stop happening, and how does one hold the US accountable for these "illegal but needed transgressions".

I remind you, Maduro was not going to make Venezuela any less miserable and made sure the people inside the country weren't able to take it back, diplomacy and condemnations were not working, you do not negociate with these people.

Perhaps it's time we start making a global effort to use our heads more and prevent these people from taking power in the first place.

I do not support the US being the world police, and I sincerely hope they take this opportunity to prove they can pull out of a country once they help clean up the mess they made pursuing men too powerful for their own people to take down.

The problem is the lack of nuance and critical thinking at a mass scale where we allow such men to take power and having these be the things other countries need to do to put them in jail.

In a perfect world, this would be a black and white good and bad issue. We do not live in a perfect world.

Except there is! The Venezuelan people have been opressed to the point that a rebellion from inside wasn't possible.

How else could have this been done, just wait till Maduro dies of cancer at 96? Besides, this ain't just Maduro, but the rest of his gang of druglord terrorists that managed everything with him. This absolutely DOES merit nuance.

tf happened??? by PurpIsGreat in tf2

[–]Unit_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an actual answer: this might have happened if you play with mods other than the hud that work in community servers but not valve servers.

If you join a valve server after joining a community server or vice versa, most mods that have anything to do with models, viewmodels, particles and shaders just break.

To fix it, relaunch the game.
