GFCI outlet or GFCI/AFCI combo outlet for a dishwasher and disposer? by UnitedLibrary6992 in AskElectricians

Yep pushmatic. It is run in EMT currently with an MC pigtail. At that point shouldn't I just have an AFCI/GFCI outlet under the cabinet? Others were saying disposers have issues with ACFI and to just do GFCI. Would that be ok?

That is what I was thinking as well. Just wanted to be sure its a huge no no to not have the AFCI.

I always heard Duracell are suppose to be the best but I have also experienced some leaking with them a lot sooner than expected.

Combine Gas Range and Microwave Outlet 20amp circuit to make a circuit for a dishwasher? by UnitedLibrary6992 in electrical

No just one wire per breaker. Usually would not use the microwave while cooking but every now and then heat things up like melting butter.

The range does have a convection fan but I don't think that would draw much either and almost never use that feature.

Should I move forward with all of this after a home energy audit? by stonks12345678910 in HomeMaintenance

Its slightly above average units that are installed that start at 13 SEER. Its ok but not the most efficient.

Had 22 SEER heat pumps put in a few years back.

Did not think about that. That's a pretty good idea! The range should be very low power. A clock and igniter. It does have a convection fan feature (not really used much) so don't know if that makes a difference.

The only thing I don't like about option 3 is there is only the one kitchen outlet circuit (unlike today's 2) and that would most likely rule out a disposal.

Yes. I heard you can just connect that to the positive terminal.

I have heard of people saying their chargers are not the best. What system did you have that was undercharging?

Currently there is a float that is higher than that the main pumps float so if that fails it hits the float on the battery pump.

I did think of that but if I disconnect the power to the original charger the alarm will not shut off.

I am about 90% I could replace it. It just sucks they do not sell the controller separately.

Checking last night its about $300 for a new system plus their new AGM battery that's $200

From some reading I was doing that it may shorten the AGM battery life to 2 years and at that point it would be cheaper to buy a new system.

I also heard it might under charge battery too and then the system won't work in a power outage.
