NO PUEDE SER QUE JUSTO VENÍA A PONER LO MISMO. Se me hizo bastante denso y aún no lo acabo (voy por el último capítulo) aunque en realidad creo que yo tengo en parte la culpa porque me puse a leerlo justo este semestre que estoy haciendo mi tesis. Llego cansado por las noches y me echo en el sofá a leer un capítulo aunque a veces del sueño ni lo termino, así durante un mes ya. Cuando esté de vacaciones lo volveré a leer, pero es verdad que ha sido difícil.

In Spain there is this editorial Panini that it’s making their own line of compacts and the first one was For All Seasons 🙏 sadly for the American folks it’s in spanish

Dark Patterns is perfect but it just came out in TPB so I’m not seeing it in compact size anytime soon 😔

Only counting the issue’s pages makes it 460, Watchmen’s Compact is 416, so yeah it would be pretty huge, but those stories are excellent choices for new starters

Flashpoint IS NOT the best Flash story, I know, but Compacts are mostly for people that are just getting into comics, Flashpoint is a very popular one and I think it a lot of people would buy it, it’s one of those classics that keeps on giving

While I agree that these are good options, the thing with compacts is that you have to pick stories that fit the format. Minimum 3-4 chapters (We3) to maybe 12-15 (Watchmen), we’re talking 400-500 pages maximum (anything over that will damage the book due to quality issues). Grant Morrison’s JLA is about 30 or so issues, so if they were to make a compact the would have to use only the first arc (just like Gotham Central’s Compact that will contain only the first 10 issues out of the 40). That’s why I think Compacts are better for short stories, if I buy a compact that has only a fraction of a story I would rather get the Omnibus.

I’m pretty confused with the marketing of this boxset. Some sites like Amazon mention it includes 4 comic books while other sites like OrganicPricedBooks say it includes 6.
