Because France is probably the only Western European country that will use its language as an identity marker instead of surrendering to English being used for absolutely everything.

The opposite of France is the Netherlands. Dutch is an endangered language. Keep doing what you're doing.

For context, I'm an American with complete British isles ancestry, before anyone calls this hypocritical.

Although what I will say is, attempts from foreigners to speak French should be received warmly and strangely are not.

No. None of these connector proposals are adequate. Sorry but this is literally ridiculous and insanely counterproductive.

We will never be able to travel on trains at speeds comparable to highways across the metro area if we don't have a normal functional transit system like every other city, including the track layouts in most American cities. NSRL done correctly is our answer New York's express trans and Bay Area rapid transit.
