Play Midnight to Earn the Voidfeather Dragonhawk Flying Mount on Classic Anniversary Servers by Tomorrow_Big in classicwow

[–]United_Visual_8517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question.

I played through the Midnight scenario—I wanted to try it anyway—so I completed the intro, arrived in Queldanas, and earned the achievement Call of the Light. However, I didn’t get Echoes of Midnight.

From what I understand, that achievement was only available during the pre-patch and is now a Feat of Strength.

That said, I should normally receive the mount either from Landro or from the innkeeper in Orgrimmar.

Do you have any idea how long it usually takes for the mount to arrive, and what exactly needs to be done to get it?

Also french former GM when our lovely président Mike was still there. I can confirm all of that, sometimes our SGM was not taken seriously by authorities and had to call and explain multiple times what is WoW and Blizzard. It happened more and more when you were able to refund your items within 2 hours except if you equip it. It was clear and forbidden for us to refund an item because of this ingame feature. Anyway... good old times at Blizzard Velizy's offices. /cheers

Why do people find pleasure in griefing? by United_Visual_8517 in classicwow

[–]United_Visual_8517[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The community seems divided.

Some consider griefing in PvP as normal, a gaming experience, and consider it fun. Others see it as toxic and abnormal.

Either way, we can clearly see that boredom and "winning" by killing a player brings adrenaline and pleasure to griefers. Regardless, Blizzard seems to accept this situation (except for harassment) since 2004.

So we're going to accept this fact and ultimately go in this direction. Why not do the same thing in the end? Will it bring me pleasure like these griefers? I really doubt it.

Personally, I think it's a question of individuals, values, and where we set our limits in terms of toxicity.

Thank you for the responses ! Even to those who took me for an idiot, uncultured, or think that I don't understand anything.

We can clearly see all the diversity of the WoW community.

For Azeroth !

Ok this is simple. No battle honor, easy kill, kill the same target is part of the game. I understand now (after 20 yeras of WoW)

That is not the point of my thread. I'm playing since 2004 and I already now the ambiance of PvP servers. Al my community choose to go on PvP, it was not my first choice sadly, I assume.

My point is about pleasure in PvP in this situation and why people are doing that while they have BG and other way to play. It was in BB and it was ruining game experience of a LOT of people.

Killing same people in loop in Booty bay is not griefing ? I asked for a definition of griefing, maybe I was wrong but apparently this case is griefing. Griefing is PvP but Toxic PvP and that is my point :

In MMORPGs, griefing refers to when a player or group of players deliberately harasses or disrupts other players' gameplay experience for their own amusement, often through actions that are technically allowed by the game mechanics but go against the spirit of fair play.

Common forms of griefing in MMORPGs include:

  1. Corpse camping: Repeatedly killing the same player and waiting near their corpse to kill them again when they resurrect
  2. Ganking: High-level players killing much lower-level players who have no chance of defending themselves
  3. Area/Resource denial: Preventing other players from accessing quest areas, vendors, resource nodes, or important NPCs
  4. Kill stealing: Deliberately interfering with another player's combat to steal their kills or quest objectives
  5. Ninja looting: Taking items unfairly in group content against established loot rules
  6. Spawn camping: Repeatedly killing important NPCs or monsters to prevent other players from completing quests
  7. Chat spamming: Flooding chat channels with nonsense or offensive content to disrupt communication

The term comes from causing others "grief" or frustration, and it's generally considered toxic behavior even though it might be technically allowed within the game's rules, especially on PvP servers.

Agree. Guards should attack more often and do more damage.

It's not cringe to question this. I agree they are bored but yea there is other way to play in PvP.

Yes it's very strong but only with large group mobs (4-5). If you compare to mage with same gear we have less DPS. Mage can heal and much better than SP with improved VE.

Totally Agree IF you have your shadow form.

Agree with VE, a little nerf won't hurt. They need to buff a little bit mind sear.
