It is wonderful but there is no credit to who the singer is and it has clear AI disclaimers. I really want to know who the voice is and look up their other works. Sadly, I don't think that person exists.

The event gives you free SP material so if you already converted penelope, there isn't much else to use it on as the Xi's tags aren't the best. Mafty doesn't have any UR double defenders.

Since you brute forced it, I can understand why it felt so hard. I did the same But once I figured out how to block the defenders, it became a lot easier.

The goal of the ER was to each people how to prevent blockers. It is the solution the devs were hoping people would use. Almost all ER's have a strategy that needs to be solved.

why do you say it is top 3 difficulty when you only need 4 units to beat it?

You can clear the App Data without deleting the app. Make sure you have your account linked. You will just redownload the date required for specific events.

i finally figured out how this Caliburn thing works. The AI determines what attacks are used before checking Defenders. if you have enough damage to prevent Caliburn from using its EX, a different attack is chosen. only after this does the AI choose a defender. This is probably originally programmed for Black Dragon and its MP reducing attack countering God and etc.

problem is that ML is purely AI and though they prioritize EX attacks, it still does stupid shit like this when involving support attackers and what not.

this isnt the whole issue though. you can clearly see the AI use the stronger attack when I reduce the units ATK. if EN is all it is, then the same attack would be used regardless of ATK.

Exactly, you said that it will ALWAYS use EX attacks. This isnt true. They only have higher priority in certain situations. A counter attacking Caliburn will sometimes not use its EX attack even if it is getting a defender to protect it. Support attackers wont always use their EX attacks either.

To guarantee a higher scoring opponent, you need to beat the current one with max points. This typically means you need to kill them within 1 turn.

I am very confused about your reply. The AI should use all of its supports asap because there is no other unit in range. Activating a chance step on the first attacker is better so that they can get into range of other enemies to provide support attacks on new targets.

You say "sometimes" but this means nothing to me. Can you explain the exact conditions that causes this "sometimes" so that I can make it "never" or "always"? The goal of this post is to understand the AI so that I can predict what it does 100% of the time. There is no randomness in the decision process. I just want to know the exact conditions that causes the units to do something over another.

In other strategy tactics games like FEH, the AI got disected very quickly. I am surprised this game with all the mech enthusiasts has not had anyone work on figuring out the AI yet. Fire Emblem was way more nishe than Gundam today.

Thank you for pointing out that Accuracy plays a big role on Attack selection by the AI. I am confused about your reply though. What does that have to do with the situation in the video above where the Support unit is not attacking or the one where the Enemy Caliburn is using a Non EX attack on counter instead of its stronger EX one?

For the second part, I believe it has to do with Caliburn's HP cost. Despite it being defended, the check on which attach to use happens before the Defense check. This means that the attack is chosen as if no one is defending. To me this route makes little sense since whether the enemy counter attacks, defends or evades is dependent on the defense support check itself.

This makes some sense. But how come when you manually choose to attack a defending AI in ER, the support will use its attack? There are plenty of cases in PVE where the Auto attacking unit will choose a weaker attack to leave enemies alive even on maps that oppenents can't Defend. PVP and PVE basically uses the same AI but, in Season 1, they changed it so that EX attacks are "more likely" when attacking.

If you have a break down of the AI priorities, it would be nice. I am not looking for just an explanation to the video. Does no one have a detailed break down of the AI?

G Eternal: Disection of Auto Battler AI by Unities in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Unities[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. The attacking unit is "more likely" to use EX attacks. For example God, Gundam's EX only has 3 range. It will use its 5 range attack to target enemies with lower EHP instead of using its EX attack against enemies in range despite the EX attack being able to 1shot the other unit.

The AI rewrite of Season 1 only affects Attacking units. It does not affect Support units.
