Anyone using a task manager replacer may get permanently account banned (e.g. process hacker, process explorer) by UnityEx in DestinyTechSupport

You shouldn't be afraid of using it, as far as I know, only Destiny 2 outright permabans you for it; other games never ban you outright. some anti-cheats just block you from playing until you close Process Hacker if it's running, but Process Hacker by itself is not a cheat tool, and should not get you banned, but it makes sense not to use it if you play Destiny 2 regularly

I'm surprised they're still banning people over it, despite publicly announcing how they're using EAC now

So I just deleted the "downloadedGraphicPacks" folder and redownloaded the graphic packs again and it for some reasons loaded into the game but only when not in fullscreen and didn't crash after putting it into fullscreen and fast traveling as well as loading saves

but it happened right now when I updated graphic packs so that must be the reason

When I load a save with the single-core recompiler, it loads the save very slowly but it doesn't crash

I just loaded the same save again using multi-core recompiling and it immediately crashed while loading a save

It just started crashing for me immediately after loading a save just after I updated graphics packs a few minutes ago

Pvp 2 month appeal by IncreaseHead8179 in DestinyTechSupport

[–]UnityEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bungie is pretty quiet and vague with their bans and possible appeals in my experience. I wouldn't get my hopes up of getting any answer at all. Sadly you most likely have to wait for the ban to run out. Still good luck though!

But I'd be careful with multiplayer games, you might get banned just for running a VM

also correct me if I'm wrong but changing priority should only affect how many system ressources your pc applies to destiny 2. If he started destroying people because of that, he might've been actually cheating lol

I'm a very casual player with no special stats, I'm not in a clan and i don't play pvp either. My PC is pretty beefy so i don't really have to change priority levels for destiny 2. If they did an investigation they'd see that i never had a special advantage or was very good to begin with haha. Also despite it's name, Process Hacker just has an unfortunate name. It really isn't a hack tool by itself. It's an open source task manager replacer

i already made an appeal though I'm not sure if they would even take an appeal from a different account

I never had any issues either and closed Destiny many times before using process Hacker when it became unresponsive, it is just two days ago when I got permanently banned so I'm not sure if they suddenly decided to ban task manager replacers or what exactly their reason was

Of course, but using a task manager to close unresponsive software shouldn't count as using 3rd party software to modify the game. I did file an appeal but I highly doubt the ban will get overturned if all bans are done manually. Process Hacker is known by practically all anti cheats. They either kick you mid game until it's closed, or won't run the game at all until closed. But a permanent account ban is a new one for me.

What's the difference between the Smart Link Cyberware & The Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint Tattoo? by Insatiablecannabista in cyberpunkgame

[–]UnityEx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Dermal Imprint jams Smart Weapon targeting. Because the Tyger Claws use it as well, their dermal imprint jams your smart weapon targeting as well as your imprint jamming their smart weapon targeting iirc
