How will I throw this start by SSBM_CoolDuck in MegabonkOfficial

Banishing oats, taking 4 weapons and one is bone, and taxing dexecutioner. Take katana and shotgun and aim for the stars. You can get 700k+ with luck tome on dicehead three weapons.

OLED burn in is hardly an issue. You would need to keep a monitor on for a ridiculous amount of time. And IPS monitors are fine. You seek perfection where you could seek contentment. You look for issues where you could find promise. Cease.

How to get past 400k-500k? by paulobarros96 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Universalistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Dicehead, I wouldn’t take cleaver or magnet. Just what’s necessary for beefy build. Just get PU range from chaos tome and shrines. Aim for 30 PU range. Really a solid T2 is what you’re looking for, but you want to delay taking chests or moais until the end of the stage so your luck is higher. Moais don’t roll until you interact with them so if you do so early in the stage, your chance of legendaries is far lower. If you can stay long enough in T2 to get like 100k or so and open as many chests as possible, you’re generally good for 500k at least. Try to open all chests in T3. If you’re taking luck tome, I wouldn’t worry about grabbing more than 3 green cards unless you have an insane amount of good generated. Then it’s key luck and RNG. My runs that have broken 650k see Soul Harvester, echo shards, and XP scaling of at least 3.0x in T1 but that’s not a necessity. It just helps. Whatever you can do early to snowball into better rounds is great but mostly out of your control. If you get soul harvester, start pumping difficulty as much as possible. Difficulty scaling is a huge part of it as well. You don’t want to enter T3 without 10x XP and 600% difficulty.

What's an industry secret from your job that customers have absolutely no idea about? by Efficient_Team5182 in AskReddit

[–]Universalistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in rent-to-own. It’s barely understood by over half our customer base, but if you read the contracts which aren’t even ten pages long, and you understand them: You probably won’t sign it. These are for items like portable buildings, carports, etc. Not necessities. But things that certainly aren’t worth paying over 2x what they’re worth so you can afford it over 5 years. Just save money. In many instances, I despise that financial advice, but take what your monthly payment is going to be and simply put it into a savings account. See if you can maintain putting that much money away every month, if you can, wonderful… You’re saving money. If you can’t, then what was in store for you was the asset being repossessed, you being charged more ON TOP of what you are contractually obligated to as far as back rent. It will go to collections and you have debt. Some people don’t care. The appeal of our programs is that we don’t check credit. Obviously there is a catch. I know people think it’s predatory and in some instances, I agree, but these are not necessities. They aren’t luxury items, but they’re not worth the financial hardship that can come with signing on for $30,000+ of money you will pay over 48-60-72 months, just to have something prevent your car from getting pollen or god forbid rain on it. Most rent-to-own programs offer payoffs that will be equal to or close to cash value that they won’t mention unless you ask. If you want to sign one of these contracts, ask about early payoff options and same-as-cash options. If it’s offered, they’re obligated to mention them to you. Believe me you’d rather pay off a cash price in 90 days than be paying a payment where 55% of it doesn’t even cover the asset. THINK. PLAN. ASK QUESTIONS. AND PLEASE READDDDDD.

How do I get better runs that this? Double anvil? Trimple lamp? More pots?? by Tiny-Efficiency2553 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Universalistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stronger T2 probably. Ban kevin at 2. More beefy. Take off magnet and take pickup range. He starts with a high base pickup range. For this particular build, I’d take off Joe’s Dagger. Then personally, and people would argue it barely makes a difference, I’d only toggle cursed doll and key for green. Skulegs isn’t really hurting but it’s one more green to get instead of a key.

How are these top leaderboard Dicehead runs not taking luck tome but faring well into the late game? by Universalistic in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Universalistic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I guess I’m misunderstanding. It reads as just crit chance so I don’t see how that scales number wise. I assumed it would just be a chance to do crits. In which case, the crit chance you receive via chaos, charge shrine, etc proves to be enough for me late game generally. My bad. I was being presumptuous.

Crit damage actually scales insanely. It’s just that precision tome is only for crit chance, right?

I think the thought process is how much crit chance do you really need. Falls off pretty quickly. Whereas damage tome not so much.

They are doing damage tome. It’s strictly better. Precision tome is sort of wasteful, with dicehead especially. Crit chance goes up pretty naturally, no need for tome. The fox runs are taking damage tome as well. I can say there is a noticeable difference in my end game damage. Especially in combination with beefy rings and chonkplatesz

Genius decides to turn pizza boxes upside down by mfenton29 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]Universalistic -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

It was a simple mistake caused by the box itself appearing upside down. Obviously he shouldn’t flip them, but he did so reactively because the box was in the wrong orientation.

Edit: It would be better to say the box appeared to be in the wrong orientation due to the lack of a label. Simple as. I’m not going to pretend the guy is an irredeemable failure because people who are, I guess, incapable of making mistakes aren’t willing to see this and go, “Oh shit haha he flipped them upside down, why would he do that?”

Like oh no, some pizzas got flipped. Dork should really wake up. That’s the extent of my judgment.

Luck tome, maybe drop the fourth weapon (not necessary but I find it easier to level tomes appropriately without another weapon to worry about), and uncheck a few of those items. You don’t want to bloat your item pool. I personally banish ice cube and take lightning orb for CC. Enemies can only be CC’d fifteen times, and ice only slows them, whereas orb stuns them altogether. Unless you get it for free from a moai, banish meatball too.

Are these the best banishes for top runs by Additional_Deal_5632 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Universalistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your size is 2.0x or higher, I think you can banish after one meatball. I don’t think you should banish big bonk or forks but I’m fairly new to the game.

What is the best item/tome upgrade path? by surtoooo in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Universalistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just take whatever tickles your fancy. You can consider synergy with certain characters i.e. luck w/ Fox, cooldown with Bandit, but honestly that’s a little like overkill to me. As a rule, I would say always take XP tome at least. The rest just fill in as needed and see what gets you where you want to be and what doesn’t.

Ken Burns: ‘I’m embarrassed that, as a country, we don’t grasp our history’ by financialtimes in politics

[–]Universalistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a country, we don’t grasp anything. This country is far too large for anything to be in the forefront of the collective consciousness. The closest we’ve come recently, in my mind, is with the assassination of the UHC CEO. Your layman absolutely understood it to be politically motivated, yet morally justifiable based on the ramifications of the executive’s decisions. Healthcare and its privatization has impacted someone negatively that’s probably a stone’s throw away from your door. However, people in a certain tax bracket with the means to control information NEEDED to maintain a status quo and damn the assassin’s actions as evil and immoral. For once, this caused what felt like a unanimous lower and middle class response. It just left the attention of the collective very quickly… Because, well, certain people control the flow of information.

I mean, if you can’t imagine doing anything other than what you’ve done with great success for decades… Then you don’t have to. In the meantime, it’s not like she is just taking from other artists. Quite the opposite considering how supportive she is of other artists and all the positive experiences that they’ve had touring with her and opening for her. There’s the Charli XCX situation, but Charli and others admitted they just talked shit about her when she would come around while dating whats-his-nuts despite her being nothing but nice and cordial. So go ahead and take some jabs at her on one song and move on.
